✨ Meet our new Clinical Intern, Ella! We're excited to welcome Ella to the Hope Biosciences Research Foundation team this summer. She'll be working alongside our clinical staff, helping support research activities and gaining hands-on experience in clinical research. We're looking forward to having her on the team and can't wait to see all she'll accomplish during her internship. Welcome, Ella! 💙

HBRF's PD03 Trial Is Published — Here's What It Means
We have exciting news to share with our community: the results of Hope Biosciences Research Foundation's PD03 clinical trial for Parkinson's disease are now published in the peer-reviewed journal Parkinson's Disease (Wiley).
What did PD03 study? PD03 was a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial in which 24 patients with Parkinson's disease received up to six intravenous infusions of their own banked stem cells — called HB-adMSCs — over the course of a year. The goal of this early-phase study was to evaluate safety and feasibility.
What did we find? The treatment was safe and well-tolerated. Notably, neurological side effects were actually reported less often in the stem cell group than in the placebo group. No patients experienced disease worsening during the study period.
A note on our ongoing research: We know many of you have been following our PD04 trial as well — that is a separate, follow-on study where we recently announced promising top-line results. PD03 and PD04 are distinct trials; PD03 laid the safety groundwork, and PD04 builds upon it.
We are deeply grateful to the patients and families who participated in PD03. Your trust in this research helps move science forward for everyone living with Parkinson's disease.

After stem cells, continuing physical, occupational and speech therapy has taken spinal cord patients from wheelchair to standing and walking—we've proven it works alongside brain injury recovery too. 🌱
