Arbor Rose AFH homes in Tacoma is seeking qualified candidates for day and nightshifts. Our full-time day position offers 36 hours per week, with every other weekend included in the schedule. Our nights is 10-12 night shifts a month, must fit in our schedule.

We utilize electronic charting for each shift. Additionally, we provide Continuing Education Units (CEUs) in-house, eliminating the need for external searches. Our day and night shifts are 12 hours in duration.

As an upscale Adult Family Home (AFH), we take pride in our well-organized and efficient operations, with our provider visiting daily. Many of our staff members have been with us for years, making this an excellent opportunity for a long-term care position.

1. Current CNA, HCA license (prior to hire)

2. Current CPR card (prior to hire)

3. Current First Aid card (prior to hire)

4. Background Check (upon hire)

5. 2-Step TB (step 1 within 3 days of hire)

6. Fingerprint Check (within 7 days of hire)

7. Current Food Handlers card (by start date)

8. Nurse Delegation Certificate (by start date)

9. Diabetic Delegation Certificate (by start date)

10. Dementia Certificate (within 90 days of start date)

11. Mental Health Certificate (within 90 days of start date)

12. Covid vaccine card

13. Valid Social Security number

Additional Requirement:

Our team efficiently completed six projects within a 22-day period at 6301 AFH, delivering a comprehensive bathroom renovation for residents, installing new insulation beneath the house, thoroughly cleaning all areas, and implementing upgrades. Additionally, we finalized a previously incomplete fencing section, constructed a new patio and sidewalk, and renovated part of the front yard in two phases, complemented by river rock installation along the side fence.

Throughout the three-week project, our staff maintained a high level of resident engagement with continuous activities. Notably, one resident's interest was piqued by the progress observed from their window.

Further updates will be provided later this summer regarding upcoming changes to the backyard at 1630 AFH.

We have redone all the insulation under our AFH for continuous heat and cooling to be proper for the comfort of our residents in 6301 AFH . That was big job today!

We enjoyed an exceptional evening at the Caregiver Awards ceremony held at HCPC, where Sonia, one of our dedicated caregivers, received a nomination. She consistently demonstrates professionalism in caring for our residents during every shift and even visits dressed up on holidays when she's not working. Our residents' well-being is always her top priority. Additionally, our Provider Tammy was also nominated, and we appreciate her 25 years of service to this community. She consistently excels, and it was wonderful to see six of our staff members attend, fostering team building.

Our first bouquet of roses from our rose garden today ! Over 70 roses are gonna be blooming this season 🌹

We recently expanded our outdoor area by adding 10 yards of cement, thereby increasing our space for larger gatherings in the backyard. Added a new sidewalk all way from the front yard for easy access.

Our Mother's Day dessert party was a great success, with each of the 31 attendees, our cherished residents, receiving a complimentary nightgown, hand lotion, and flower pin to wear throughout the weekend, in celebration of our annual milestone, which now marks 24 years.
