We're not hiring employees. We're calling caregivers.
There's a difference. An employee clocks in. A caregiver kneels down beside someone's mother,
listens to the same story for the hundredth time, and treats it like the first. If that's the kind of work
your heart is drawn to, Maine — we'd love to meet you.

From the coast of Maine to the Green Mountains of Vermont — the calling is the same.

Whether it's a quiet morning in Brewer or an evening drive through the hills of Vermont, our caregivers are showing up for the families who need them. Aging at home isn't just about care — it's about dignity, familiarity, and being surrounded by the people and places you love. That's the work our Maine and Vermont teams pour their hearts into every single day.

"And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men." — Colossians 3:23 (KJV)

To our Maine and Vermont caregivers — thank you for being faithful in the small hours and the long ones. To the families we serve in both states — we're honored to walk this road with you. And to those looking for meaningful work close to home, we're hiring in both Maine and Vermont right now.

Sunday mornings remind us why we do this work at all. ☀️

Before the schedules fill and the week begins, we pause. We thank God for the families who trust us with their loved ones, and for the caregivers who serve them — not for recognition, but because they know Who they’re really working for.

“And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men.” — Colossians 3:23 (KJV)

This morning, our prayer circle lifts up every client we serve, every caregiver on the road, and every family carrying a burden we haven’t met yet. If you have a prayer request, drop it in the comments or send us a message — we’d be honored to pray with you. 🙏

The math of a good day, from an A&M caregiver in Maine.

1 warm breakfast made — because the eggs are how she knows it's morning, and how he knows he's still home.

3 stories heard, remembered — the one about the fishing boat in '68, the one about the first grandchild, the one she's told a hundred times but tells like it's the first.

7 moments of dignity restored — a button buttoned, a spill cleaned before anyone noticed, a hand held on the way down the hall, a laugh at a joke that wasn't that funny, a warm washcloth, a favorite sweater, a moment of "I've got you."

1 quiet prayer whispered — not for show, not for anyone to hear. Just because the work is holy, and the person in the chair is somebody's whole world.

Add it up, and it doesn't look like much on paper. But this is the math we do every day in Maine. And it equals something no spreadsheet can measure — a life honored, a family at peace, a caregiver called.

"He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much." — Luke 16:10 (KJV)

To every A&M caregiver in Maine who is out there right now doing the small, faithful things — thank you. You are the whole reason this works. And to every family trusting us with your loved one — we do not take that lightly. Not for a single shift. Not for a single minute.

This morning, our prayer circle is open — and there’s a seat for you.

Every Sunday, our A&M family pauses to lift up the ones we serve: the caregivers heading into quiet homes this morning, the families carrying worries they don’t always say out loud, and the loved ones who simply need someone near. Whatever is weighing on your heart today, we’d be honored to pray over it with you. Drop a 🙏 in the comments or share your request below — spoken or unspoken, God knows.

“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.” — Philippians 4:6 (KJV)

Thank you to every caregiver serving heartily this Sunday. You are prayed for, and you are appreciated.

If this old kitchen table could talk…”

It would tell you about fifty years of Sunday dinners. Homework spread across its top. Coffee poured for neighbors. Prayers said with hands joined around it.

And it would tell you about lately — how the chairs sat empty a little too often, until a caregiver from A&M pulled one out, sat down, and said, “Tell me about your family.” Now there’s coffee again. Conversation again. A hand to hold during grace again.

Care doesn’t always look like a task list. Sometimes it looks like a full chair at a familiar table.

“And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men.” — Colossians 3:23 (KJV)

To our caregivers who pull up a chair and stay awhile — thank you. You’re not just providing care. You’re bringing life back to the room.

It usually comes on an ordinary day. 📞
You're at work, or in the school pickup line, and the phone rings: "Dad fell this morning." In one sentence, everything you thought you had time to figure out becomes something you have to figure out now.
If you've gotten that call — or you're bracing for it — our newest blog post was written for you. It's about the question no one wants to say out loud, what staying home can really look like, and why asking for help may be the most loving thing you ever do for your parents.

"I'm a recipe card. Biscuits. Written in 1974. Let me tell you something."

You can barely read me anymore. There's a flour thumbprint over the word "buttermilk" and a grease stain shaped like Sunday morning. She never measured anyway — I was just there for company.

For fifty years, her hands reached for me. Hands that fed a husband, four children, eleven grandchildren, and half the church potluck.

Now those hands need a little help. Buttoning a sweater. Steadying a step. Getting the oven door open.

But here's what I want you to know: last Tuesday, a caregiver pulled me out of the box. And she and the woman who wrote me made biscuits together — flour everywhere, laughing, telling stories about 1974.

That's the difference. Care that doesn't just keep someone safe — it keeps them themselves.

"And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men." — Colossians 3:23 (KJV)

Somewhere in your family, there's a recipe card like me. And a pair of hands worth honoring.

“I’m the house on Maple Street. Let me tell you what I’ve seen.”

For 42 years, I’ve held this family. I watched babies learn to walk on my kitchen floor. I heard prayers whispered at my dinner table. I kept the porch light on for teenagers coming home late.

Now it’s mostly quiet. Her children live hours away, and some days the only sound is the clock in the hallway.

But three mornings a week, a car pulls into my driveway. Someone comes in with a warm hello, puts the kettle on, and suddenly there’s laughter in my kitchen again. Someone helps her get dressed with dignity. Someone sits with her on the porch and listens to the same stories I’ve heard a thousand times — like they’re hearing them for the first time.

She gets to stay home. With me. Where she belongs.

That’s what home care really is. It’s not a facility. It’s not goodbye to everything familiar. It’s keeping the porch light on.

“And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men.” — Colossians 3:23 (KJV)

If someone you love wants to stay in the home that holds their whole story, we would be honored to help.
