27 years ago today, I received my first Reiki attunement 🙏 I was 26 years old. I was living my life to the best of my ability, as I understood, at that time. I had no idea that receiving this Reiki attunement would initiate such profound change in my life and reorient my Soul's Path and Purpose. I did not realize that a Reiki attunement (Rei ju) is literally "Granting the Soul". It absolutely is ✨️
2 years later I received my Reiki 2 attunement and that was a powerful initiation process as well. I was 28 years old and moving to Hawaii to begin the next part of my life. Again, I had no idea that my Higher Self was showing me every step of the Way the direction of my "Becoming".
2 years later, I was living in Ventura, CA and received my next Reiki attunement onto the Path of Reiki Master. The 3rd Degree initiation was another powerful blessing and healing, continuing the rapport with deepning my spiritual practice and Life.
6 months later, I received my Reiki Master Teacher attunement... deepening humility and trust. Steeping in this process for a year and realizing it was time to share these teachings.
I took my training over again, this time in a 2 day format for Reiki 1/2, 5 months later a 3 day format for Reiki 3/Teacher. From this point of reference I felt confident and ready to grow and share these teachings. They have absolutely grown me. Developed me. Brought forth who I have always been in a responsible and reverent way. Not easy by any means... the journey is a diligent devotion worth living ✨️
All these years later, I have had the great honor and privilege to learn, practice and teach other "forms" of Reiki as well. My meditations had been guiding me to other indigenous paths and practices which have only enriched my life and revealed the wisdom ready to come through. I thought perhaps, my personal ancestral inheritance from my Cherokee and Celtic roots were what Reiki was guiding me to, and it was.
However, in 2007, I was introduced to the Andean Spiritual Medicine Path and learned that this was part of my Soul ancestral inheritance. As soon as I was introduced to this Path the Reiki in my field expanded and leapt for it like a long lost counterpart 💫
From that point on, I've been introduced to a number of teachers and practices and have the sincere honor of walking the Wise Woman Medicine Path ... it's a journey... a sacred spiral 🌀 We are returning to ourselves over and over again in sacred service within, to and for Love ❤️
I could never had planned this Life and yet it lives through me, as me. I'm honored and beyond grateful for this life and they way in which I get to walk it.
We are here for a bit if time in the Grand Scheme... may we take good care of this precious existence ✨️
