Magnetocardiography (MCG) offers a noninvasive, reproducible methodology for rapid and accurate detection of cardiomyopathy after exclusion of ischemic heart disease. This study indicates that MCG may be an efficient tool for allocation of advanced imaging to those patients with a high likelihood of disease.

Heat waves + wildfire smoke may be especially hazardous together. In 5.9M CVD deaths, combined exposure was associated with 11.5% higher mortality vs 8.3% with heat alone and 1.4% with smoke alone. Patients with heart failure had the greatest added risk.

How should multimodality imaging be used to diagnose cardiac masses? In 142 patients, CMR had the best standalone accuracy. Combination CMR + 18F-FDG PET gave near-perfect results (AUC 0.97, NPV 100%). If CMR isn't feasible, CCT + PET is a strong alternative.

The randomized trial tested whether 3 months of direct oral anticoagulant therapy after , followed by lifelong single antiplatelet therapy, could reduce subclinical leaflet thrombosis compared with single antiplatelet therapy alone.
