Baking It Blue for Jeans for Genes Day 💙

Today, the team at Child First proudly came together for Jeans for Genes Day, baking it blue with a wonderful selection of homemade treats and wearing blue jeans in support of this important cause.

It was a fantastic opportunity to raise awareness and contribute to the vital genetic research that helps improve the lives of so many children and families.

Jeans for Genes Day: The Child First Therapy Team are baking it Blue💙

This Thursday, our team is baking up a blue themed spread and wearing our jeans in support of Jeans for Genes Day, helping raise awareness for children living with genetic conditions.

Our team have been busy preparing their best blue-themed bakes, with the competition for Best Bake shaping up to be a close one. Will Bevan C or Prue defend their reputation, or will someone else take out the top spot this year?

We will be sharing the results — and plenty of photos at the end of the week.

We would love for all our kids and carers to join in too — please join us and wear your jeans to the clinics on Thursday! .

We are delighted to welcome four Occupational Therapy students from the University of Sydney, who have joined us for their 10-week placements!

At Child First, we are passionate about mentoring the next generation of OTs — a huge shout-out to our OT supervisors Julia, Sharon and Michele who will be guiding them along the way! 🙌

On Friday night, the Caswell Healthcare team came together for our annual mid-year dinner celebration at K Café & Bar. This venue holds a very special place in our hearts. K Café & Bar is owned by Amy, the mum of one of our wonderful clients, Koh Chan. The restaurant’s name, “K”, beautifully represents Koh Chan, Kabuki Syndrome, and Kindness—a heartfelt tribute to her family’s journey and the values that inspire everything they do. 
Amy generously shared the inspiring story behind K Café & Bar and the journey of turning her dream into reality. We were then treated to an incredible Vietnamese feast, enjoyed some amazing cocktails, and shared an evening filled with laughter and celebration.
A huge thank you to Amy, her daughters and her team for the warm hospitality and for making our night so memorable.
If you haven’t visited K Cafe & Bar yet, be sure to add it to your must-visit list. You will be welcomed with delicious food, friendly service, and a story that will stay with you long after your meal. 💙

What an incredible few weeks we had in our School Holiday Intensive Program! Check out the highlights!!!

Our School holiday theme was Pyjamas, and our clinics were filled with fun as our kiddos and our team embraced the theme by wearing their favourite pyjamas. We also held a friendly competition between our clinics with a Dream Wall, where our kids received stickers throughout the program to stick on the wall. Congratulations to our Five Dock clinic, who took out the win by collecting the most stickers and celebrated their victory with a well-deserved pizza lunch!
