A well-deserved wind-down day in Wellington!

Colin enjoyed a relaxing day out on the golf course in Wellington with the YIRRA Support Workers Seaun and Jai.

At YIRRA, our Community Access supports are all about helping participants get out into the community, build confidence, create genuine connections, and enjoy activities that are meaningful to them. Whether it's golf, fishing, cooking, sporting events, or simply catching up with mates, we tailor every support to the individual's goals and interests.

Sometimes the best support is slowing down, enjoying the fresh air, sharing a few laughs, and spending time doing what you enjoy.

Another great day of Community Access with the YIRRA team.

At YIRRA, being an Aboriginal-owned and Aboriginal-led organisation is at the heart of everything we do.

We understand that support is about more than appointments and funding. It's about building genuine relationships, creating safe spaces, listening without judgement, and walking alongside people on their journey.

We are proud to provide culturally safe, person-centred support that respects each participant's story, identity and goals. While we have a strong focus on supporting First Nations people and communities, we warmly welcome people from all backgrounds who share our values of respect, connection and empowerment.

Every person deserves to feel heard, valued and supported.

Community Access with the boys.

There's nothing better than getting out into the community, sharing a meal, having a laugh and building meaningful connections.

At YIRRA, Community Access is about more than just getting from A to B-it's about creating opportunities, building confidence, encouraging independence and making every day enjoyable.

Days like these are what it's all about.

What a Way to Kick Off Respite Weekend!

Our respite weekend is off to an amazing start with a night at the circus for Joey and Mitchell.

To top it all off, Mitchell was even chosen from the crowd to be part of the show.

At YIRRA, respite is all about creating meaningful experiences, building confidence and making lasting memories in a safe and supportive environment.

Today, Mitch attended the More Cultural Rehabs
Less Jails Aboriginal Corporation Holiday Program in Wellington with our Support Worker, Seaun.

Mitch got involved in the boxing activities, learnt new skills, and had the incredible opportunity to meet special guest boxer Shanelle Dargan.

To top it all off, Mitch was lucky enough to win a pair of headphones signed by Shanelle!

We love seeing our participants out in the community enjoying experiences like these.

What an unforgettable few days for Colin!

Colin recently travelled to Sydney this weekend with our Community Services Manager, Seaun, for an incredible community access filled with experiences he'll never forget.

As a passionate Parramatta Eels supporter, one of the highlights of the trip was meeting some of his favourite players and having his jersey signed by the team- a dream come true!

A huge thank you to Seaun for lining this all up making this incredible experience happen, and a very special shout out to Josh Addo Carr for his generosity in surprising Colin with a Parramatta Eels bag filled with merchandise.

Your kindness meant the world to Colin, and our team truly appreciated your generosity.

The adventure didn't stop there! Colin also enjoyed visiting the Art Gallery of New South Wales, exploring Sydney, celebrating culture at the Parramatta NAIDOC Celebrations, and cheering on the Eels at the Parramatta Eels vs Sydney Roosters game at Allianz Stadium.

At YIRRA, we believe community access is about creating meaningful experiences, building confidence, connecting with culture, and helping participants achieve their goals while making lifelong memories.

We couldn't be happier for you, Colin!
