🔥 WHAT AN INCREDIBLE DAY FOR THE WANDERING MAN!
Today’s Prostate Cancer Awareness BBQ was something pretty special, with around 50 people coming together men and women to raise awareness, start conversations and remind each other of the importance of looking after our health.
And what made it even more special… 8 first-timers joined The Wandering Man today! 🙌
🎯 The message was powerful. The conversations were real. The support was incredible.
A HUGE thank you to our amazing guest speakers who went above and beyond. Each brought something different, connected with the room and delivered a message we couldn’t have asked for a better group of people to share.
💙 Dr Maria Neagle opened the discussion brilliantly, connecting immediately through both her medical experience and personal insight. Her message around prevention, awareness, prostate health and early detection was incredibly valuable.
💙 Graham Rees – Prostate Cancer Survivor shared his journey with honesty and passion, helping us better understand prostate cancer, diagnosis and treatment. Graham is also a lead member of the Geelong Prostate Cancer Support Group, doing incredible work supporting men through their journey.
💙 Chris Link —our very own was absolutely amazing, sharing his personal journey and highlighting the importance of having a supportive partner, strong connections and looking after our mental wellbeing.
💙 Chris Maddock shared his own journey and spoke openly about the changes prostate cancer can bring not only to yourself, but the impact it can have on your family and sons who may one day face the same journey.
☕ And our new coffee machine got its first workout… WHAT A HIT! 😂👏
A massive shout-out to everyone working behind the scenes to make today happen. There is so much work that goes on behind the scenes that people don’t always see and today showed what can happen when a community pulls together.
