Meet Noah. On the 30th of July, he’ll be running 285km along the Great Ocean Road, from our Warrnambool Centre to our Geelong Centre.

Noah isn't running for a medal. He's running because this cause is personal. His own history with addiction started as a teenager, and years later, his brother came through The Power In You Project after rehab. Noah says what stood out to him about PIYP was the message that recovery doesn't look the same for everyone, and that it's okay to make mistakes along the way.

"I'm running for everyone that feels alone. Everyone that's going through this journey and feels like they don't fit in. You're not alone."

This challenge is about more than kilometres. It's about showing what's possible with honesty, self belief and support, and raising vital funds so PIYP can keep offering that safe space to anyone who needs it.

We are so grateful to Noah for choosing to align this challenge with The Power In You Project. It means a lot that our work has touched his life and his family's, and we could not be more proud to support him on this journey.

We are proud to announce that The Power In You Project has been awarded a $5,000 Community Grant from United Way Glenelg πŸ™

This funding will support the delivery of a weekly support group at the are-able offices in Portland, running every Monday morning for 12 months.

The group will be open to anyone in the Portland community facing addiction, mental health or justice challenges, building on our recent expansion into the region in partnership with are-able.

Grants like this one are made possible through workplace giving, and we are so grateful to United Way Glenelg and to every individual whose generosity makes community investment like this possible.

Expanding access to support across South-West Victoria is a priority for us, and this funding is a meaningful step in that direction.

That's a wrap on Term 2 at The Power In You Project πŸ™Œ

Looking back at this term's camera roll is a reminder of what this community is capable of. Countless moments of courage, connection and growth across our Geelong and Warrnambool centres.

Some group sessions will continue over the holiday period and we will be sharing an updated timetable shortly.

If you or someone you know is looking for holistic support across Disability and NDIS, Justice or Addiction, we welcome enquiries at any time. See you in Term 3!

The 2026 PIYP Charity Gala is five weeks away, and we would love to have you and your team join us for what promises to be a very special evening.

This year we welcome guest speaker Tahlia Isaac, founder of Project:herSELF, who will share her extraordinary personal story of incarceration and rebuilding her life.

Alongside Tahlia's presentation, the night includes a two course dinner, five hour drinks package, live entertainment, and a silent auction, raffle and live auction, all set against the beautiful backdrop of Provenance Wines in Fyansford.

In the lead-up to the end of financial year, we have reinstated our early bird pricing until 30 June 2026. Tickets are now available at $180 per person, or $160 for an alcohol-free ticket β€” both tax deductible.

To access the discounted price, enter the code EOFY26 at checkout.

Every ticket purchased directly funds PIYP's free recovery and wellbeing programs for people across Geelong and South-West Victoria, so simply attending and enjoying the night is an act of support in itself 🩡
