Sneezing, itchy eyes and a runny nose that won't quit? In Brisbane, spring grass pollen can keep hay fever going for weeks, and it isn't the same as a cold.

Hay fever usually means itchy eyes and nose, clear runny nose, sneezing fits and no fever, lasting as long as pollen stays high. A cold usually brings a sore throat, aches and sometimes a fever, and settles in 7-10 days.

People with hay fever are more likely to develop asthma. If you notice a wheeze, a tight chest or a night-time cough, see a GP.

Our GPs can build a hay fever plan with you and check for asthma. Book on HotDoc or walk in at 3/35 Ferry Street, Kangaroo Point.

Do your tummy troubles keep coming back? 🤔

Occasional bloating can be common—but ongoing bloating, recurring abdominal pain or a noticeable change in bowel habits may be worth discussing with your GP.

A GP consultation can help review:

✓ How long the symptoms have been present
✓ Foods or activities that make them better or worse
✓ Changes in bowel movements
✓ Your medicines, lifestyle and family history
✓ Whether further tests or specialist advice may be appropriate
