"I strongly urge that the lives, welfare and habitat of the kangaroos living on the Werrington North campus of Western Sydney University be fully protected.

These kangaroos are an important part of Western Sydney's natural heritage and contribute to the biodiversity and ecological balance of the local environment. They deserve to be treated with compassion.

I ask that every reasonable measure be taken to preserve this established kangaroo population and its habitat, protecting the land on which they live and ensuring that any future planning decisions recognise the environmental and community value of these native animals.

Protecting these kangaroos reflects our shared responsibility to care for Australia's unique wildlife for current and future generations. I respectfully encourage the Government and Western Sydney University to work together with wildlife experts, conservation organisations and the community to achieve an outcome that safeguards the welfare of the kangaroos while supporting long-term environmental stewardship.
