We’re turning up the music and turning down the pressure, with this year’s theme do nothing* reminding us to make space to pause, recharge and take a break from the pressure to always be doing more. 💚

Stolen Generations Art Exhibition Launch is on Wednesday, 28 October.

The exhibition explores the history and enduring impacts of the Stolen Generations, including the forced removal of Aboriginal children from their families, communities, Country and culture through historical government policies and practices.
While acknowledging the profound impacts of dispossession, disconnection and intergenerational trauma, the exhibition also honours the resilience, resistance and strength of Aboriginal peoples in maintaining and reclaiming cultural identity, family connections and belonging.

Importantly, there is no single Stolen Generations story. Every survivor, family and community holds unique experiences, and this exhibition aims to provide a respectful platform for these individual and collective stories to be shared, acknowledged and honoured.

There are 23 unique roles and 200 plus shifts to fill, so there is something for everyone no matter your availability. You’ll be providing essential services to bike visitors and athletes, contributing directly to the success of this major new festival on the South Coast. Young people are often encouraged to do more, more, more. While these things can be valuable, they can also become another item on an already overwhelming to-do list.

This headspace Day, we’re flipping that expectation and encouraging young people to do nothing* for their mental health and wellbeing.

Doing nothing* isn’t about literally doing nothing. It’s about recognising that we don’t always need to add more to our lives, and sometimes doing less is exactly what our minds need.

🎣 Our youth fishing comp is back - Friday 9 October, starting from the Narooma Sport and Gamefishing Club at Wagonga Inlet.
🌊 The competition is for people aged 12 to 24, but all family members are welcome along. There's free tackle and bait, a BBQ, prizes, and support from Headspace Narooma and Batemans Bay

We got in to life this winter! ☀️

Throughout the winter school holidays, headspace Batemans Bay and headspace Narooma brought the tips for a healthy headspace to life through free activities across the Eurobodalla.

From kayaking, equine workshops and putt putt to Dungeons & Dragons and a movie session, young people had opportunities to try new things, stay active, build skills and connect with others.
