🎀 **October – Breast Cancer Awareness Month** 💗

**A little awareness today can make a meaningful difference tomorrow.**

This October, our doctors and healthcare teams would like to remind everyone in our community about the importance of breast health and early detection.

💗 Women aged 50–74 are encouraged to have a free screening mammogram every 2 years.

💗 Women aged 40–49 and 75+ can also access free breast screening and may wish to discuss their individual circumstances with their GP.

💗 If you notice a lump, ni**le discharge or any unusual breast changes, please consult your GP promptly, regardless of your age.

Breast screening can help detect breast cancer early, often before symptoms develop.

We were honoured to welcome the Premier of Tasmania, Jeremy Rockliff, and Tasmania's Minister for Health, Bridget Archer, to our Medical practice for the announcement of Tasmania's new state-funded Meningococcal B Vaccination Program. 👏

🩺 This important initiative will help improve access to protection against Meningococcal B disease for eligible children and families across Tasmania, supporting better health outcomes for our communities.

💙 As a local general practice, we are proud to support preventive healthcare and work alongside government and community partners to improve access to essential health services.
