We were honoured to welcome the Premier of Tasmania, Jeremy Rockliff, and Tasmania's Minister for Health, Bridget Archer, to our Medical practice for the announcement of Tasmania's new state-funded Meningococcal B Vaccination Program. 👏

🩺 This important initiative will help improve access to protection against Meningococcal B disease for eligible children and families across Tasmania, supporting better health outcomes for our communities.

💙 As a local general practice, we are proud to support preventive healthcare and work alongside government and community partners to improve access to essential health services.

🙏 We thank the Tasmanian Government for its commitment to preventive healthcare and for recognising the vital role that general practice plays in keeping our communities healthy.

👥 **Who is eligible?**

✅ Australians aged **75 years and over**
✅ Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged **60 years and over**

🫁 RSV can cause serious respiratory illness, especially in older adults. Vaccination can help reduce the risk of severe illness and hospitalisation.
