We are excited to share that renovations will officially commence next month as we begin a major expansion of First Point Healthcare to better serve our growing community ❤️

Since taking over the clinic, we have grown from a 2 Full-Time GP practice to a current 7 Full-Time Equivalent GP service — with even more growth planned ahead 🙏

What started as a small clinic continues to grow into one of Tasmania’s largest bulk-billing healthcare services, all thanks to the incredible support from our patients and community 💚

✨ Doubling from 7 consult rooms to 14 consult rooms
✨ More doctors joining our team
✨ Planned extended hours
✨ Expanded healthcare services
✨ Brand-new on-site pharmacy
✨ On-site pathology services returning after construction
✨ Improved access and facilities for our community.

This expansion is about more than just buildings — it’s about improving access to affordable, community-focused healthcare for families across Northern Tasmania.

We are pleased to share that the **RSV vaccination is now available under the National Immunisation Program (NIP) from 15 May 2026** for eligible patients.

👥 **Who is eligible?**

✅ Australians aged **75 years and over**
✅ Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged **60 years and over**

🫁 RSV can cause serious respiratory illness, especially in older adults. Vaccination can help reduce the risk of severe illness and hospitalisation.

💉 **Flu vaccines are also available at First Point Healthcare.**
Annual flu vaccination remains one of the best ways to protect yourself, your family and our community this winter.

❤️ Giving Back to the Community That Supports Us ❤️

As First Point Healthcare has turned ONE 🎉, one of the most important things we wanted to do during this milestone was give something meaningful back to our community.

We are incredibly grateful and emotional to share that together we were able to contribute $5,000 towards supporting Shekinah House Inc and starting our support for the Evening Meals Program at Beaconsfield Neighbourhood House ❤️

This contribution represents much more than $ — it represents kindness, compassion, and a community coming together to support people experiencing hardship, homelessness, loneliness, and difficult times.

Through raffle tickets and community donations, our amazing patients and community members together helped raise around $700 🙏

To ensure we achieved our goal and made the biggest impact possible, First Point Healthcare proudly contributed the remaining $4,300 ourselves to reach the full $5,000 contribution ❤️

We are also very happy to share that the Evening Meals Program at Beaconsfield Neighbourhood House will recommence from tomorrow on a more permanent basis, helping provide ongoing meals, support, and connection within the community ❤️

Supporting the community is something deeply important to us, and we hope to continue raising funds for Shekinah House Inc every year as part of our commitment to helping people experiencing hardship.

To every person who supported this initiative in any way — whether by purchasing raffle tickets, donating, sharing our fundraiser, or simply encouraging us — thank you sincerely from the bottom of our hearts.

Even if you did not win one of the raffle hampers, please know you have already won something far greater — the blessings, gratitude, and hope of the people who will receive help, meals, warmth, and support through these initiatives ❤️

At First Point Healthcare, we strongly believe healthcare is not only about consultations and prescriptions — it is also about compassion, humanity, and standing beside our community during difficult times.
