Today we travelled all the way to India without leaving Cardinia Community Aged Care! 🌸✨
Our residents enjoyed an amazing Armchair Travel experience filled with colour, culture, stories and plenty of smiles.
It was extra special to have our wonderful staff join in and share stories from their own homelands and cultural backgrounds, giving our residents an opportunity to learn, reminisce and connect through personal experiences. ❤️
And of course… what is a trip to India without some authentic Indian food! 🌶️🍛 The delicious flavours certainly helped bring the experience to life!
A huge thank you to everyone who shared their stories, their culture and their time. These experiences remind us that travel isn’t always about where you go — it’s about the people, stories and connections along the way. 🌏💕

🐢🎨 Men’s Shed Magic at Cardinia Community Aged Care! 🎨🐢
There’s something pretty special about creating, chatting and having a bit of fun together! 💙
Our Men’s Shed group has been getting creative, making these fantastic concrete garden ornaments — and just look at the results! 🐢🌿
From mixing and moulding to painting and adding their own personal touches, our residents have put plenty of creativity, patience and personality into each one. 🎨👏
And of course, the best part of Men’s Shed isn’t just what we make — it’s the friendship, conversation, laughter and sense of achievement that happens along the way. ❤️
We absolutely love seeing our men getting involved, learning new skills, sharing stories and creating something they can be proud of.
A little bit of concrete + a whole lot of creativity = some very happy turtles and Froggys! 🐢🐢🐢

💙 Happy Aged Care Employee Day! 💙
Today at Cardinia Community Aged Care, we took a moment to celebrate the incredible people who make our home so special every single day.
This afternoon we enjoyed delicious toasties, shared plenty of laughs, and most importantly, spent quality time together appreciating one another. Our team works tirelessly to provide kindness, compassion, and exceptional care to our residents, and today was all about recognising the amazing people behind that care.
A heartfelt thank you to every member of our team. Your dedication, patience, and genuine care make a difference in the lives of our residents and their families every day. We are proud to work alongside such an incredible group of people.

Scotty the greyhound was back visiting us again this week, bringing plenty of smiles, gentle cuddles and special moments to our residents. 🐾

Scotty is part of our new program, “Your Day, Your Way,” which has been created to offer meaningful one-to-one activities for residents who may not usually join in with the mainstream activity program.

This wonderful initiative is all about connection, choice and joy — making sure every resident has the opportunity to enjoy activities that suit their interests, needs and day-to-day preferences.

Please keep an eye out for our Mini Moments Trolley, Mobile Library, Exercise in Rooms cart, and of course, our exciting VR experiences as we continue bringing personalised moments of fun and wellbeing to our residents.

This week at Cardinia Community Aged Care, we’ve had lots of fun taking part in our “Warm Hearts, Strong Bodies” activities together with our wonderful Clinical Team for National Stroke Week. 💙

We designed the program to be informative, interactive and enjoyable for our residents. Our nurses spent time talking with residents about F.A.S.T. and the importance of recognising the signs of stroke, while we also shared thoughts and discussed healthy lifestyle habits that support strong bodies and warm hearts.

A big thank you to everyone who joined in and helped make the week so meaningful!

Today we celebrated International Friendship Day 💛

Residents and staff at Cardinia Community Aged Care gathered with their favourite people to make friendship bracelets and share smiles. Laughter, creativity, and connection filled the room as everyone enjoyed the fun together. 🎉

✨ Another Wonderful Week at CCAC! ✨

What a fantastic week we’ve had here at CCAC—and it’s not even Friday yet!

👩‍🍳 Our Cooking Group has been busy creating delicious homemade treats, filling the home with wonderful aromas and even bigger smiles.

🎨 Arts & Crafts brought out everyone’s creative side, with residents enjoying a relaxing afternoon of creativity, conversation, and laughter.

🐾 Jimmy the Greyhound paid us another special visit for pet therapy, bringing comfort, companionship, and plenty of cuddles. His gentle nature never fails to brighten our residents’ day.

🚌 Our Memory Support Unit enjoyed a scenic drive through the beautiful local countryside, taking in the sights and enjoying a change of scenery.

🪩🎂 The Big Birthday Party went off with a disco bang! There was music, dancing, birthday cake, and lots of celebration as we honoured our residents celebrating another special year.

And the best part… we haven’t even reached Friday yet! We can’t wait to see what the rest of the week has in store.

At CCAC, every day is an opportunity to create meaningful moments, build friendships, and make lasting memories.
