3 DAYS DEEP DIVING INTO THE VESTIBULAR SYSTEM 👂 & CEREBELLUM 🧠
Today I finished my last Brain Integration training for the year 💚 and I loved being in the classroom with the girlies again 🫶 exploring how our inner ears, eyes, brain, and body work together to maintain balance, coordination, and spatial awareness.
The vestibular system is so much more than just balance. This weekend we got to test one another and using Kinesiology procedures, to explore imbalances physically and energetically ⚖️
👂 Vestibular Disorders: Ménière’s disease, ear infections, vestibular migraines, and motion sickness.
👀 Vision & Gaze: Eye tracking, gaze instability, blurred or bouncing vision and difficulty stabilising vision during head movements.
⚖️ Balance & Coordination: Unsteadiness on your feet, dizziness, poor posture, impaired coordination, spatial disorientation, difficulty walking on uneven surfaces.
🧠 Cerebellar Connections: Ataxia, impaired movement control, difficulties coordinating head, eye, and body movements.
🧘♀️ Emotional connection: Knowing your place in the world, Unsure about your next steps forward in life.
Other challenges can include nausea, visual motion sensitivity, difficulty concentrating, fatigue, sports performance connection.
Balance and movement rely on a partnership between the vestibular system, cerebellum, vision, proprioception, and brain. When one part is affected, the impact can extend far beyond dizziness alone.
Does this sound like something you or someone you love are affected by? Why not reach out to see if this avenue can assist?
