At MK Skin & Wound, our skin checks are designed to be thorough. Your appointment allows time to assess your skin from head to toe, including areas that are easily missed such as the scalp and between the fingers and toes. Dermoscopy is used to assess lesions more closely, with clinical photography taken where appropriate to help monitor changes over time.

You don't need to wait until something looks concerning to prioritise your skin health.

Changes in sleep, energy, mood, concentration, body composition, skin, menstrual cycles and overall wellbeing can all occur during this stage of life — but that doesn’t mean every symptom should simply be put down to “menopause”.

At MK Skin & Wound, our approach starts with assessment and investigation before treatment is recommended.

This appointment is designed for women who may be experiencing symptoms and want support with symptom management, or simply want a better understanding of where they may be in their perimenopause or menopause journey.

Your appointment includes a comprehensive consultation where we discuss your symptoms, menstrual and health history, lifestyle and individual concerns.

Where clinically appropriate, we can then arrange pathology to investigate areas that may be contributing to how you are feeling and help build a clearer overall picture of your health.

Our Luxury GTT has been created especially for unwell, tired expecting mums, giving you a private, calm and comfortable space to complete your glucose tolerance test.

On arrival, we’ll get you settled into our quiet clinic space and complete your first blood collection before you have your glucose drink and Enjoy a relaxing massage

You then will;
🌿 Rest in a quiet, tranquil clinic space
🛋️ Get comfortable and put your feet up
🤍 Be looked after by a Registered Nurse throughout your visit

Once your final blood collection is complete, you’ll be offered a complimentary drink and light snack before heading home.
