Adelaide is taking shape!
Construction of Avive Clinic Adelaide is well underway, bringing Avive Health another step closer to expanding much-needed private mental health services in South Australia.

Recent progress includes:
- Major concrete pours completed across the site
- Structural works continuing to advance
- Progression of the carpark and building core
- Continued construction of the hospital structure

We're currently working towards topping out in August – a major construction milestone that marks completion of the building's highest structural point and the next phase of development.

When complete, Avive Clinic Adelaide will provide purpose-built inpatient and day program and outpatient mental health services in the heart of Adelaide, expanding treatment options for South Australians while creating new opportunities for clinicians and healthcare professionals.

We're looking forward to celebrating this milestone with our project partners, clinicians and community in August this year.

A huge thank you to everyone who supported the Avive Health team at Coastrek Mornington Peninsula last week.

With more than 3,500 trekkers taking part across the event, it was fantastic to see the community come together to support mental health awareness and fundraising for Beyond Blue.

We’re incredibly proud of our Avive Mornington Peninsula team members who completed the 20km walk, and grateful to everyone who donated, shared our fundraising page or stopped by the Avive marquee for resting and stretching throughout the day.

Together, our team raised $775 in support of mental health initiatives through Coastrek and Beyond Blue.

We’re proud to have been part of such a positive community event supporting mental health awareness and connection across the Mornington Peninsula.

Catherine Fitzsimmons and Alix Irby from Avive Health and Avive Clinic Brisbane are at the Ipswich Show today, proudly supporting Wounded Heroes Australia.

Wounded Heroes provides crisis support for veterans and their families, including a 24/7 phone crisis line for those who need urgent help. Their work is invaluable – and relies on donations, fundraising and community support to continue reaching those in need.

This month, Avive Health is proud to support Coastrek Mornington Peninsula – with more than 3,500 trekkers coming together to walk in support of mental health and raise funds for Beyond Blue.

Our Avive Clinic Mornington Peninsula team will be part of the day, with team members taking part in the walk and a marquee at Cheviot Hill, Portsea, to support trekkers as they make their way through the final stretch.

It’s a simple but meaningful reminder of what support can look like – encouragement, connection, and being there at the right moment.

At Avive, we see every day that recovery is rarely a single step. It’s a process – often gradual, often challenging and often made more possible when people feel supported along the way.

Coastrek captures that spirit beautifully, with thousands of people moving forward together, raising awareness and vital funds for Beyond Blue’s 24/7 support service, and showing the power of community in mental health.

A message from our cofounders this international nurses day.

Dear Team,

Today, on International Nurses Day, we want to acknowledge and sincerely thank all of our nurses across Avive, as well as the many non-clinical support team members who play such an important role in the care journey every day.

At Avive, we often talk about creating environments where people feel safe, connected, supported and genuinely cared for and that simply would not be possible without you.

Whether you are supporting someone through crisis, helping them navigate recovery, sitting with them during difficult moments, assisting families, coordinating care behind the scenes, preparing meals, welcoming patients at reception, supporting administration, maintaining our facilities or simply offering kindness and reassurance at the right moment - every interaction matters.
Mental health care is deeply human work. It takes compassion, patience, emotional resilience, teamwork and an incredible amount of heart. We see the way our teams show up for patients and for each other, often during challenging and emotionally demanding day, and we never take that for granted.

To our nurses - thank you for your clinical expertise, advocacy, empathy, and unwavering commitment to patient care.

The traditional mental health system is no longer enough and psychiatry knows it.

Last week, Avive Health welcomed psychiatrists and registrars from across Australia to our “Future of Psychiatry” event during the 2026 RANZCP Congress, creating space for a bold conversation about where mental health care must go next.

Discussions throughout the evening focused on integrated models of care, continuity beyond discharge, and the growing importance of innovative and emerging therapies for people experiencing treatment-resistant mental health conditions.

At Avive, we believe recovery should not end at discharge. We are building a connected ecosystem of psychiatrist-led inpatient, outpatient, day program and virtual care pathways designed to support the full patient journey - from acute treatment through to long-term recovery and relapse prevention.
