It’s DonateLife Week! Did you know that most Australians support organ and tissue donation, but only one-third have registered?

If that’s you, take a minute this DonateLife Week to register as an organ and tissue donor at donatelife.gov.au or through Medicare.

Every year people die waiting for a transplant. One organ donor can save the lives of up to 7 people and change many more through eye and tissue donation.

The external design for the new $2 billion Bankstown Hospital got the thumbs up at a recent community design jam.

More than 20 local Aboriginal community members, Elders, staff and knowledge holders came together for the third knowledge exchange on the plans for the new hospital, which will be built on Chapel Road in the Bankstown CBD.

The hospital's façade is inspired by the colours and textures of Country. From local sandstone and tree canopies to the open skies above, it received a warm round of applause, reflecting a strong connection to the vision.
