At the recent Canadian Men’s University Hockey Championship (UCup 2026), Dr. Brian Seaman was honoured with the naming of the UCup sports medicine clinic. The clinic will carry his name for at least the next two university championships held at the Scotiabank Centre: the 2027 Men’s and Women’s Basketball Final 8 and the 2028 Women’s Hockey UCup.

Dr. Seaman was involved with the medical teams for all seven national university championships held in Halifax between 2015 and 2023, serving as Medical Chair for the last six. He has since handed over the role to fellow sport chiropractor Dr. Brad Ferguson (Renew Health, Elmsdale, NS), who served as Medical Chair for the 2026 UCup.

Throughout his career, Dr. Seaman has volunteered an estimated 12,000 hours at sporting events, ranging from local competitions to the national and international level. This includes four Olympic Games and a Pan American Games.
