Tonya is an experienced therapist with over 20 years in practice, offering different modalities to help clients find relief from a wide variety of chronic and acute pain issues. A graduate of Algonquin College’s Massage Therapy Intensive program & Toronto’s Shiatsu School of Canada diploma program, she has been working in the Ottawa West area for the past ten years.

As patients return to spring activities like gardening, cycling, and tennis, RMTs play an important role in helping them stay active, reduce injury risk, and manage musculoskeletal pain.

Jumping back into an active hobby after a long break can increase the risk of pain or injury.

Whether patients are spending the day in the garden, heading out for a family bike ride, or getting back on the tennis court, preparation and recovery strategies can help them enjoy these activities more comfortably and reduce the risk of injury.
