Last night, we celebrated a big milestone alongside Humber River Health at their Annual General Meeting, where the 2025/26 Annual Report was unveiled.

This past year brought a moment we're especially proud of, the Wilson Site was renamed Hennick Humber Hospital, following a transformational $50 million gift from the Hennick Family Foundation.

Gifts like this change what's possible fueling a decade of leadership as North America's first fully digital hospital, and helping ensure innovative, safe, and equitable care stays close to home for our community.

Hennick Humber Hospital Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of Chanchal (Sisi) Chakrabarti as Chair of the Planned Giving Committee.

A dedicated member of the Committee since 2022, Sisi most recently served as Vice Chair and brings deep expertise as Managing Partner of Advisory Money Strategies Inc., a boutique estate and financial planning firm. He is also a passionate advocate for the role strategic philanthropy can play in thoughtful financial and estate planning.

As Chair, Sisi will lead a committee of professional advisors who generously share their time and expertise to help advance planned giving initiatives at the Foundation. Their guidance helps donors create meaningful legacies that support Tomorrow’s Healthcare, Today, ensuring Hennick Humber Hospital can continue investing in exceptional care, innovation, and life-saving technology for generations to come.

Technology can make a hospital stay feel more connected, informed, and comfortable.

At Hennick Humber Hospital, Integrated Bedside Terminals (IBTs) help patients do everything from accessing patient education and reviewing their health information, to ordering meals, controlling room settings, calling their nurse, and accessing entertainment. The terminals are designed to give patients more choice and comfort during their stay, while helping them stay connected to their care.

Our IBTs are another example of how innovation at Hennick Humber Hospital supports care in ways patients and families can feel every day.

One day. 14 McDonald’s locations and $35,000 raised for McHappy Day 2026! A community that showed up in a big way. 💙🍟

Two McDonald’s owner-operators, Robert Nadeau and Jon MacDonald, chose to support Hennick Humber Hospital during this year’s McHappy Day. Thanks to their generosity – and the incredible support of 20 RBC volunteers led by Negar Abdizadeh, alongside staff from the Hospital’s Maternal-Child Unit and Foundation – McHappy Day funds will help advance exceptional care at Hennick Humber Hospital.

Last month, Jon MacDonald’s team at the 2116 Kipling Avenue McDonald’s accepted a letter of appreciation, hand-delivered on behalf of Premier Doug Ford, to recognize the longstanding community philanthropy and partnership between McDonald’s and Hennick Humber Hospital.

This day was a reminder of what’s possible when local businesses, healthcare teams, government representatives, and community members come together to make a difference close to home.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated, donated, visited a participating location, and helped make this year’s McHappy Day such a success.
