Floaters are small spots, specks, or thread-like shapes that appear to “drift” across your vision. They’re often caused by changes in the vitreous (a jelly like substance in the eye) and are usually harmless.

However, a sudden increase in floaters, flashes of light, or a curtain/shadow over your vision can be a warning sign of a retinal tear or detachment. 🚨

If you notice sudden changes, seek an eye examination promptly.
