Itโ€™s been a hot evening across the North East, and tonight young people were out engaging with youth workers in some really important conversations around water safety.

As temperatures rise, these discussions can genuinely save lives.

Brilliant to see so many young people listening, engaging and looking out for one another.

Our Bereavement Counsellor, Helen, supported the Compass Be team this week with valuable insight into bereavement literacy.

We explored how language around death can sometimes be confusing for children and young people. Phrases like โ€œpassed on,โ€ โ€œgone to sleep,โ€ or โ€œtheyโ€™re in the skyโ€ can be taken very literally, which may add to uncertainty during an already difficult time.
