We were recently given the opportunity to visit Somerton House, the In-Patient Unit of the Northern Ireland Hospice, which is just five minutes from our York Road site. We were delighted to finally present them with our cheque for £1,463.28, raised as part of our Marathon effort in May from one of our four teams who participated in the Belfast Marathon.

Courtney McGuinness (Customer Services), Conor Graham (Despatch) and Stuart Purvis (Engineering) were very kindly joined by Chloe Jennings, Team Lead Nurse, Adults IPU (Nurse on left) and Florence Dolan, Hospice at Home, Staff Nurse (Nurse on right).

We were given a lovely warm welcome, which seems to be a reflection of the way things are done in Somerton House, where the staff keep a positive and calm environment for those patients and their families that find themselves needing their care. We were so happy to donate to this unit that needs all the funding it can get, with so little financial support from the government.

A huge thank you to everyone that supported us, it is great to see the positive result of all that effort.

We were lucky enough to get an afternoon with David Connolly at Brigadoon Charolais, which has been a passion for the Connolly family since 1979, but we don't need to say anymore, I think we will let these guys do the talking..... 🤫
