🚌 Out and Abouters Upcoming Trips!

Our Out and Abouters group has two exciting trips planned for November and December!

Wednesday 18th November: World of Glass, St Helens
Explore the history of glassmaking, discover fascinating exhibitions and enjoy the opportunity to watch a glassblowing demonstration!

Wednesday 16th December:Liverpool Christmas Markets & Museum
Get into the festive spirit with a visit to Liverpool's Christmas Markets, with the chance to explore one of the city's museums too!

🍂🍁 Autumn fun at our Thursday Women's Group!

Last Thursday, our Women's Group got creative, making lovely autumn wreaths with colourful fallen leaves, pinecones, and ribbons!

The ladies also got together to make some homemade potato and leek soup, perfect for the colder weather! 🥣

And it looks like Maureen was having a particularly lucky week! After winning our Monday Social Group quiz, she went on to win our weekly Women's Group raffle too!

Another close quiz at our Monday Quiz Group!

Last Monday, we had another fun quiz session, and it was a very close finish!

Huge well done to Maureen, who came out on top with an impressive 27/30 and took home the prize! 🎉

Last Friday, our Drama Group got together to start planning their next play, and this time they're taking on a sci-fi comedy! 👽

💷 Want to feel more confident managing your money?

We're running a friendly 4 week LifeSkills course at The Hub in Westhoughton, covering everyday things like budgeting, saving money, banking and understanding bills.

Each week will also include a relaxed art activity, with time to chat, connect and enjoy some refreshments. 🎨☕

A few weeks ago, our Thursday Women’s Group came together for a lovely celebration of everyone's achievements, as well as to say a fond farewell to Marie on her last day with us! 🌸

It was wonderful to see all the ladies proudly receiving their certificates and medals, recognising their hard work, progress and everything they have achieved together.

A huge well done to all the ladies, and a big thank you to Marie! We wish you all the very best for the future. 💚

📢 HAVE YOUR SAY! Community Mental Health Support in Bolton

The Greater Manchester Integrated Care Board (ICB) is asking people in Bolton to share their experiences of community mental health support, and we would encourage anyone who uses our services to take part!

The survey focuses on support provided by voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) organisations, including wellbeing groups, befriending services, community activities and other non-clinical support.

Whether you've used these services, tried to access them or considered using them, the ICB would love to hear from you. Your feedback will help identify what's working well, what could be improved and what support people may need in the future.

Week 2 of Family Action LifeSkills in Bolton!

This week, our learners focused on budgeting and planning ahead, looking at how we can manage our money and save towards things like Christmas.

With support from Gavin and Kelly, the group explored how to read and understand bank statements, prioritise bills and keep track of money coming in and going out.

Afterwards, Phil led the rest of the session where everyone started painting their own candle holders, which they can either keep for themselves or turn into a thoughtful handmade Christmas gift! 🎁🕯️
