Like so many in our community, we have been deeply appalled and sickened by the recent news regarding the investigation in Hull. We completely understand that these distressing reports may cause anxiety, and we want to offer our deepest reassurance to all the families we have served, those we currently support, and those who may need us in the future.

When you choose us, your loved one never leaves our direct care. They remain at your chosen funeral home, looked after in modern, professional facilities using state-of-the-art equipment. From the very first phone call, our priority is to treat your family and your loved one with the same tenderness, dignity, and respect that we would demand for our own.

We strongly advocate for strict regulation within the funeral industry—the sooner, the better. We hold ourselves to the highest standards, maintaining rigorous daily checks, meticulous record-keeping, and open communication with families every step of the way.

BCM Funeral Directors is now under the ownership of Chris Wilshire and Louise Constable. We are delighted to be able to lower the costs in line with Brunel Funeral Directors and offer simple affordable services and direct unattended services .
We also offer full bespoke and repatriation services. We’ve lowered the costs but we haven’t lowered our high standards, our transparency or our care. Our families will always come first.

Brunel and BCM Funeral Directors, are here to serve our local and surrounding areas. We take great pride in the following-

1. Our small dedicated team look after everyone in our care personally.
2. Your loved one will be cared for within our funeral home and nowhere else.
3. Our Direct Cremation, is £1175 incl. cremation fee.
4. Our Simple attended cremation is just £2895 including cremation fees
and minister/celebrant fees.
5. We offer unlimited advice and guidance to everyone.
6. We have lowered the cost of funerals at BCM to match Brunel.

As we approach our seventh year of serving our local community, we want to express our deepest gratitude to the families who have trusted us to care for their loved ones. Building a reliable, trusted, and independent service has been our highest priority, and that commitment remains unchanged.

We are thrilled to share some very exciting news: Brunel has officially taken ownership of BCM Funeral Directors on Crow Lane, Henbury.

We fully understand the ongoing cost-of-living challenges that many in our community are facing. In alignment with our mission to provide affordable, dignified care, we are pleased to announce that we will be lowering funeral costs at the Henbury location to match Brunel’s current pricing structure, offering a variety of packages tailored to suit all budgets.

We want to reassure our community that both Brunel and BCM remain entirely independent and fully family-owned by Louise and Chris. As a local, independent business, we look forward to continuing to serve you with the utmost compassion, care, and professionalism.
