A huge thank you to Sue Parker and everyone from 22 Signal Regiment for raising an amazing £529.47 for Cotswold RDA!

Sue chose us as this year’s charity for the Regiment’s annual reunion raffle, held at The High Orchard in Gloucester. As a volunteer at our Longlevens RDA shop, Sue was delighted to support our work.

To all our members,

Cotswold RDA will hold its AGM on Thursday 29th October 2026 in the Sovereign Suite at Cheltenham Racecourse.

Please come to the Hall of Fame entrance, where you will be directed to the meeting.

Doors open at 6:00pm, with the meeting starting at 6:30pm. The evening will begin with our Annual Award Presentations, followed by Chairman Tim Baylis’s report on last year’s progress, an update on current activities and plans for the future. We’ll then present the Financial Statements for the year ended 31st March 2026.

The meeting will finish at 7:30pm.

Volunteer Call-Out for Tomorrow, Saturday 17th October! 🐴

We’re looking for our current registered volunteers to help with lessons tomorrow, both morning and afternoon.

We need leaders and sidewalkers to support our riders and help our horses have a great day. If you’re available for either session, we’d be so grateful for your help!

A huge thank you to Christine and Colin for bringing us another wonderful and much-needed donation of products for our ponies through Foresters Financial. You are both incredibly generous, and we’re so grateful for your kindness and support. It means so much to us!

Foxy and the Herd Need You Tomorrow!

Foxy has a little favour to ask our wonderful volunteer community!

We are looking for hands-on support for our lessons tomorrow afternoon, Saturday 10th October. Foxy and his herd buddies are hoping to find a few familiar faces to join them in the arena.

Specifically, we are in need of:
• 1 Leader to guide the horses through the sessions.
• 2 Sidewalkers to provide essential support alongside our riders.

If you are a current volunteer with some free time to spare tomorrow afternoon, we would absolutely love to hear from you. Your support makes such a difference to our participants and our four-legged team!

A huge thank you to Joe Cooper of Paladin Financial Planning for his generous sponsorship of our upcoming Cotswold RDA Open Mini Dressage & Ridden Showing Show on Sunday 8th November 2026!

Community support like this makes an enormous difference to Cotswold RDA, enabling us to host inclusive events that bring riders together while raising vital funds for our therapy programmes. We are incredibly grateful to Joe and the team at Paladin Financial Planning for backing our charity and supporting grassroots equestrian sport.

Join us on Sunday 8 November for a full day of welcoming, inclusive competition in our indoor arena:

9:00 AM – Dressage (Pre-entry only, £12): RDA Intro to Dressage Championship (Walk Only) and BD Intro Walk & Trot Test 3 (2024). Special prize for the highest-scoring rider under 16! Spaces are limited, so please email us at [email protected] to enter.

11:00 AM – Ridden Showing (Entries on the day): Classes ranging from Best Turned Out, Mane & Tail, and Pony the Judge Would Like to Take Home (£6), through to Lead Rein, First Ridden, Mountain & Moorland, Coloured, and Veteran (£10). All classes are open to led and unled combinations!

All-Day Handy Pony (£3, on the day): Fun for everyone, with a 'Well Done' rosette and sweets for every entrant.

Plus, Full Monty Catering will be serving hot breakfast rolls, burgers, and proper coffee from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM.

📣 VOLUNTEER CALL-OUT FOR THIS SUNDAY!

We’re looking for some extra helping hands to support our riding sessions this Sunday morning.

We urgently need leaders and side walkers to help our lessons go ahead safely and smoothly.

This call-out is for our current registered Cotswold RDA volunteers, if you’re free to lend a hand, even for just an hour, we would be incredibly grateful! Every extra pair of hands really does make a difference and helps us keep our riders in the saddle.
