⚽Saturdays don’t come much better than this for some of our brilliant residents!

Last weekend, we headed down to Cheltenham Town FC to watch the Robins in their opening home match of the season – and what an afternoon it was! 🙌🤩

With pitch-side seats, the atmosphere was incredible. The roar of the crowd, the excitement of watching live football and, of course, celebrating a fantastic 2–1 win made it a very special afternoon!

For some of our residents, days like this are about so much more than football. It’s about bringing treasured memories and familiar feelings to life once again – the sound of the crowd, the anticipation of kick-off and that unmistakable excitement of watching your team play. 😃👏

Making Every Day Worthwhile. ✨

Throwback Thursday to a beautiful summer’s day spent drifting down the river together! ☀️🛥️

Thanks to the Willow Trust, our residents were able to enjoy a very special day out on the water, taking in the scenery, enjoying each other’s company and even having a go at driving the boat themselves! 😁🙌

Our Wellbeing Team are brilliant at creating special days, shared experiences and those Wentworth moments that mean so much. 🤩

A big thank you to the Willow Trust for helping us create such a memorable day!

What an incredible morning we enjoyed at Wentworth Court as the amazing Walks with Hawks came to visit! ✨

Residents had the opportunity to meet these magnificent birds up close, and the smiles and sense of wonder on everyone's faces were truly magical as our new feathered friends perched gently on waiting hands. 🦅😁

It was made even more special by having visiting family and friends share the experience, creating wonderful memories together. And as you can tell from the photos... our team enjoyed it too! 🤩

A huge thank you to Walks with Hawks for bringing your beautiful birds to Wentworth Court and giving us such a memorable experience.

What better way to enjoy a sunshine-filled Sunday than with a classic 99 and a Flake on National Ice Cream Day? 🍦☀️

For many of our residents, it’s more than just an ice cream. It’s a taste of childhood, a familiar tradition and a moment that sparks smiles, stories and treasured memories. It’s often the smallest moments that mean the most 🥰

to a wonderful afternoon visiting the furry friends at Lower Hewletts Farm! 🦙🐑🐐🐴
From alpacas and sheep to goats and the lovable donkeys, every animal was more than happy to receive plenty of gentle strokes, smiles and lots of fuss from our residents. Watching everyone so engaged, relaxed and truly present, living in the moment, was so heartwarming.🥰

Animal therapy, whether it's furry, feathered or even scaled friends, can have such a positive impact on people living with dementia. Research shows that spending time with animals can reduce anxiety, provide comfort, encourage communication and bring back happy memories through the simple power of touch and companionship.😊

A huge thank you to everyone at Lower Hewletts Farm for giving our residents such a memorable day. We can't wait to visit again! 🙏😁

There really is no end to the talents of our Wellbeing Team! 🤠

Last Saturday, our garden and Seymour Summer House were transformed into an all-American celebration for the 4th of July, filled with country music, delicious treats and plenty of smiles. 🤗😁

Residents and their loved ones were entertained by the talents of our country and western singer, while everyone tucked into classic American pies, delicious doughnuts and a cheeky afternoon tipple (alcohol-free, of course!) 🍻🥧🍩

It truly was a wonderful afternoon filled with laughter, music and special moments, as couples, families and friends came together to make new memories 🤗 For our residents, familiar songs reawakened long-forgotten memories, sparked conversations and, for a little while, allowed them to simply be themselves once more and enjoy every moment. 🥰

A huge thank you to our amazing Wellbeing Team for creating another afternoon full of joy, laughter and unforgettable memories. ❤️

"It lets me be his wife again" ❤️
When dementia changes a relationship, families often find themselves becoming carers instead of husbands, wives or partners.

For Elaine, finding the right care for Martin meant she could simply be his wife again.

At Wentworth Court, we understand that what can be seen as challenging behaviour is often a form of communication, and rather than expecting people to fit into our world, we take the time to understand theirs. It's through that understanding that trust grows, distress reduces, and people can feel calm, safe, and understood.

Exceptional dementia care isn't just about supporting the person living with dementia. It's about restoring relationships, helping families reconnect, and creating moments where loved ones can simply be husbands, wives, sons, daughters and friends once again🥰

Read Martin and Elaine's story and see the difference when care begins by understanding the person, their story, and the world as they experience it today 💕

A heartfelt thank you to Elaine for allowing us to share such a deeply personal story x

"It's let me be his wife again." Those seven words perfectly capture Elaine's experience at Wentworth Court. After a long and difficult journey, Martin found calm, and Elaine found something equally precious – the chance to simply spend time with the man she loves once again.

At Wentworth Court, this June and every month birthdays are always a big celebration 🎉

Each resident’s special day is marked with a homemade cake created just for them, reflecting their favourite flavours and treats. Alongside a thoughtful gift, a birthday card, and a heartfelt chorus of “Happy Birthday” from our team, we make sure every resident feels truly celebrated🥳🎂

This June also brought an extra special occasion. We were honoured to celebrate Tom and Maureen’s 50th wedding anniversary. Our wonderful team transformed our Friendship Room into a pretty dining space, creating a beautiful setting for them to enjoy this incredible milestone together 🥰

These are the moments that matter most. They bring joy to our residents, create treasured memories for their families, and remind us of the privilege it is to be part of their lives 😊

Happy Birthday, Happy Anniversary, and here’s to celebrating every milestone together. ❤️
