Cheltenham's specialist dementia nursing home.

Wentworth Court opened in May 2015 and is the only care home in Cheltenham dedicated to providing dementia nursing care. The experienced and empathetic team offer both long-term residential and nursing care for those who need daily assistance as well as shorter-term respite care. Wentworth Court recognises that every resident has a specific set of individual needs and takes into account each resi

dent’s medical history, as well as their life story, personality, preferences and interests. The attractive home has modern, spacious and light bedrooms, decorated to an extremely high standard and equipped with en-suites. Facilities also include landscaped gardens, a roof terrace, a patisserie café, hairdressing salon, cinema screening space and relaxation and family rooms. The nursing team provides high-quality medical care twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, supported by local partnerships with GPs, opticians, dentists, dieticians, physiotherapists and chiropodists.

We can't wait to welcome residents, families and friends for an afternoon of football fun, live entertainment, delicious food and plenty of celebrations... in the sunshine!! ☀️

On Thursday, 4th June, from 1.30pm, we’re bringing the world together for a World Cup inspired afternoon party in association with Care Home Open Week!

There’s so much to enjoy throughout the afternoon, including:

🏳️ The opening parade
⚽ England vs The Rest of the World penalty shoot-out
🧠 Football quiz
🎯 Table football
🥧 The opening of our Seymour Summer House Pie Shed
…and plenty more fun along the way!

As the sun sets on International Nurses Day, we want to say a heartfelt thank you to the wonderful team of nurses and senior carers who are part of our incredible family here at Wentworth Court. 🤗 💚

The kindness, grace and exceptional care you give to not only our residents, but also their families, friends and our colleagues is something we are truly thankful for. ☺️

Last Friday marked a truly special moment for everyone at Wentworth Court as we officially opened the beautiful Seymour Summerhouse. 🌺💮☀️
A huge and heartfelt thank you to the Seymour family for their incredibly kind donation of the Summerhouse. It is such an honour to care for your loved one and to welcome your family for the official ribbon-cutting ceremony.🙏🤩

🥰 Seeing everyone gathered around the Maypole, smiling and dancing side by side, was a wonderful reminder of what makes Wentworth Court so very special.

And, what made the day even more meaningful was seeing every part of our home come together, united by one shared purpose... dancing!!😁 And providing the most heartfelt care, friendship, and joy for some of the most special people and their families ✨💚

Some of our most special moments come from the experiences we create for those in the later stages of dementia 😊
A recent trip out bowling reminded us just how powerful meaningful activities can be. The smiles, the laughter, and the sense of achievement on our residents’ faces felt like stepping back in time, moments where they could reconnect with joy, confidence, and who they’ve always been. 🎳

Seeing our gentlemen light up, support one another, and celebrate each success was truly something special.🥰 A huge credit to our incredible Wellbeing Team for creating experiences that spark memories, build connections, and help our residents feel like themselves once again✨

Did you see our cover girls, Jenny and Kath with our very special visitors in this week’s Echo! 🦙✨

We were delighted to welcome Storm and Smokey from Cotswold Vale Alpacas to Wentworth Court for a very special visit. At just 10 months old, it was their very first trip to a care home, and they couldn’t have been better behaved!

Our residents loved every moment, from gently stroking their super-soft coats to feeding them and asking lots of curious questions. The atrium was full of smiles, laughter and lovely conversation as everyone, staff and residents, gathered to meet our fluffy guests.🤗

For some, the visit even brought back fond memories of life on the farm. Moments like these are what it’s all about 😁Thank you, Storm and Smokey... come and see us again soon 💫
