While it may not be quite as warm as it has been recently, it's still important to take care when temperatures rise.

Remember, the heat can affect anyone, but young children, older adults, and those with long-term health conditions are at greater risk.

If you no longer need your appointment or can't attend, cancelling it in advance means we can offer that time to another patient.

Where possible, please cancel as far in advance as you can, and at least 15 minutes before your appointment.

Cancellations made within 15 minutes of the appointment time will be recorded as a Did Not Attend.

A quick cancellation can make a big difference and help us make the best use of appointments for everyone.

Meet our Practice Pharmacists!

Did you know our pharmacists are an important part of our surgery team? They work closely with our GPs, Nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure patients receive safe, effective, and personalised care.

Our Clinical Pharmacist team consists of 6 pharmacist, including 2 who work remotely, all working together to support our patients.

Pharmacists can help you by carrying out medication review to help patients get the most from their medications, answering prescription and medication queries, ensuring medicines are used safely and effectively. Pharmacists also support patients with long term health conditions by reviewing and optimising their treatments.

Whether it's helping you understand your medication, reviewing your treatment, or making sure your medicines are working as they should, our team of pharmacists are here to help you.

In June 2026, 271 appointments to see a Practice Nurses was missed, resulting in 88 hours of appointment time that could have been used to help other patients.

Meet Shirl, one of our Care Coordinators.

Shirl plays a vital role in supporting some of our most vulnerable patients, including those who are frail, elderly, recently discharged from hospital, or going through a difficult time. Working closely with our clinical team, community services, and care homes, she helps ensure patients receive the right care and support when they need it most.

Whether she's coordinating care, visiting patients at home, or simply offering a listening ear, Shirl is passionate about providing compassionate, person-centered support and helping patients and their families feel reassured every step of the way.
