The family of the late Rosaleen O'Callaghan would like to express our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to everyone who offered support and sympathy following our recent bereavement.

Thankyou to all who called at the wake, attended the funeral, sent cards, messages and flowers. A special word of thanks to our relatives, neighbours and friends who helped in any way.

Heartfelt thanks to Fr. Declan McGeehan and Noreen the sacristan for the beautiful Requiem Mass. Thanks also for the Steelstown Folk Group members and Louise Doherty for their beautiful singing and Eddie O'Donnell who played the keyboard.

We greatly appreciate the high level of care shown by the carers from Bryson and Strabane and District and NWCare. Also the doctors and nurses in Altnagelvin Hospital, Ward 32 and the A&E Department for the care they showed Rosaleen in her final days and for the kindness shown to us her family.

Thanks also to Da Vinci’s for the refreshments after the funeral service.

A special thanks to McClafferty Funeral Directors, Kieran Connor and Warren Thompson for the Professionalism and Empathy shown throughout the Funeral Arrangements.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we hope that this acknowledgement will be accepted as an expression of our gratitude. The Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for all your intentions.

Rosaleen’s Month Mind Mass will take place on Saturday 22nd August at 6:30pm in Our Lady Of Lourdes Church, Steelstown. Everyone welcome.

Jim Hamilton

Died - 23rd August 2025

God looked around his garden
And found an empty place,
He then looked down upon the earth
And saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you
And lifted you to rest.
God's garden must be beautiful
He always takes the best.
It broke our hearts to lose you
But you didn't go alone,
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.

It’s hard to believe a year has passed since our beloved mother left us on 17th August 2025.

Your love will live within our hearts,
A light that never fades.
In every treasured memory,
Your gentle spirit stays.
We held your hand , we said goodbye,
With hearts so full of pain.
Though life has never been the same,
Our love for you remains.

Sorely missed by her loving children Paula, Patricia, Elaine, Gerald, Ciara, Kevin and Roisin, her grandchildren and siblings, along with all her friends and neighbours.
