We the family of the late Anna Kelly wish to express their sincere thanks and heartfelt gratitude to all those who sympathised with us on the heartbreaking loss of our beloved mother, mother-in-law, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who visited Mum during the wake, attended the funeral, joined via the we**am, sent Mass cards, flowers, sympathy messages, and offered comfort and support in any way. Your kindness and thoughtfulness have been a great source of strength to us during this very difficult time.

A special word of thanks to Doctor Todd, the Hospital at Home team, and the Marie Curie Hospice team who looked after Mum with such tenderness and empathy at the end of her life. We profoundly appreciate what you did for Mum and will be eternally grateful that you preserved her dignity, fulfilling her wish to be cared for at home.

We are also deeply thankful to all the carers who looked after Mum over the past year for their devotion, dedication, and the gentle care they showed her.

Our heartfelt thanks also go to the Hospital Respiratory Team and the dedicated staff of Ward 26 at Altnagelvin Hospital for the exceptional care, attention, and support they gave to Mum.
We are most grateful to Doctor Ford, Doctor Cochrane, and all the staff at Park Medical for their professionalism, kindness, and diligent care throughout Mumโ€™s illness.

Our sincere appreciation to Father McFaul for his unwavering spiritual support, prayers, and for celebrating the touching and beautiful Requiem Mass.

We extend our thanks to Michael Keating at Beechwood Florist for the lovely floral tributes, which were arranged with such care and thoughtfulness.

Our deep appreciation to Michelle Conaghan for her beautiful singing, which added so much comfort and meaning to the Requiem Mass.

Finally, our warmest thanks to Mr. Warren Thompson-Connolly and all the staff at McClafferty Funeral Directors. We are truly and forever grateful for the exceptional care, dignity, and respect they showed in ensuring Mum was laid to rest with such grace.

My journey as an Irish undertaker began back in 2018, a journey that has led me to a profession that is as challenging as it is rewarding. I have the absolute privilege of providing solace and support to the people of Derry during their most difficult times. This role goes beyond the logistics of death; itโ€™s about understanding, comforting, and standing by the bereaved and their families.

โ€œMy role has evolved to include a diverse array of responsibilities. From the intricate art of preparing the deceased to the thoughtful orchestration of funeral services, each task is performed with the highest degree of care and reverence for the departed and their families. Every duty I undertake is a testament to my commitment to respect and honour the deceased and their loved ones.โ€

We the family of the late Meta Harkin (nรฉe Friel) wish to express our heartfelt and sincere thanks to everyone who sympathized with us during our recent loss.

We are deeply grateful to all who attended the wake and funeral, sent mass and sympathy cards, sent flowers and made donations to Marie Curie in lieu of flowers.โ€‹

A heartfelt thanks to the carers, District Nurses, Rapid Response Team and Marie Curie Nurses especially Orla, Shauneen, Natasha, Karen and Margaret for the compassion and kindness shown to Mum.

We would like to thank Fr. Shaun Doherty for his prayers and to Fr. Paul Farren for the lovely service and to Michelle McLaughlin and Declan Carlin for providing the beautiful music which made the mass so special.

A special word of thanks to Derry City Football Club for the guard of honour and to Conor Ramsey, Mr and Mrs Breslin and The Old Docks for providing food during the wake and to The Cosh for providing refreshments following the funeral, it was greatly appreciated.

We the family of the late Bernie McGuinness wish to convey our heartfelt thanks to all our relatives, friends and neighbours who sympathised with us on the recent loss of our beloved Mother, Granny and Great-Granny.

Sincere thanks to all those who called to the wake, sent mass cards and floral tributes, we would like to thank everyone who prepared and brought refreshments to the wake and to all who attended the funeral, your presence and words of comfort were very much appreciated.

We would like to say how touching it was for Steelstown Primary School and the canteen staff to do a guard of honour outside the chapel and how thoughtful this was.

We want to say a special thanks to the District Nurses, Marie Curie and Anna who looked after our Mum with great care and also the carers who attended to Mum every day we want to thank you.

We would like to offer a special word of thanks to Fr. Declan McGeehan for the beautiful and poignant requiem mass. A special word of thanks to Sinead Burnside and Ramon Ferguson for the most beautiful singing and music it touched us all.

Finally, we would like to extend our deepest gratitude to Mr. Kieran Connor and all the staff at McClafferty Funeral Directors for their professional compassion and the dignified manner in which they carried out the funeral. We will be forever grateful for your guidance and support throughout.

Thomas' remains will repose at his late home, 67 Bracken Park, this evening, Thursday (June 4th) from 5 p.m. Funeral leaving from there on Saturday (June 6th) at 9:20 a.m. for Requiem Mass in St. Mary's Church, Creggan at 10 a.m. Burial will take place immediately afterwards in the City Cemetery.

The Wake House will be private from 10 p.m. until 11 a.m.

We are all heart broken at the loss of such a special, kind and gentle person.

We, the family of the late Mary Mellon, wish to extend our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to all who have sympathised with us following the heartbreaking loss of our beloved wife, mother, nana, sister and auntie.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who called to the house, sent messages, cards and floral tributes, donated to Foyle Hospice, or attended the wake and funeral โ€” especially those who travelled long distances to be with us during this difficult time. To those who provided refreshments or helped in any way, your kindness and thoughtfulness have not gone unnoticed.

Our sincere thanks to all the staff in the North West Cancer Centre and Foyle Hospice Home Caring Team for their support and compassion in caring for Mary. We are also deeply grateful to Dr. Andrew McCorkell and everyone in Respiratory Ward 26 at Altnagelvin Hospital. The exceptional care and kindness shown to Mary in her last days with us will never be forgotten.

Sincere thanks to the wonderful doctors and reception staff at Cityview Medical, and to Shauna and all the staff at Bradleyโ€™s Pharmacy, Trench Road, for their continuous care and support over the past months and years.

A special thanks to all the priests who visited Mary at home and in hospital during her illness, offering her comfort and peace at a very difficult time.

Sincere thanks to Maryโ€™s brother Fr. Gerry White and his fellow priests Fr. Daniel McFaul, Fr. Patrick Lagan, Fr. Joe Gormley, Fr. Ignacy Saniuta and Fr. Michael Spain for celebrating such a beautiful Requiem Mass, enhanced by the music and singing of Fidelma McNamee and Aine McDaid.
