A festive half term workshop for all those budding creatives.

2 and a half hours filled with painting and building a Halloween house, and decorating a Halloween decoration.

Led by Debbie from Painting by Blocks, your little artist will get expert guidance and creative tuition.

Youā€™re welcome to drop and go, or stay.

If you have a tiny baby, this might just be the one class you need. šŸ¤

Today was our first Womb to World session at Katieā€™s Houseā€¦ and it was everything I hoped it would be.

Gentle. Unhurried. Nurturing.

Babies fed. Babies slept. Mamas chatted, shared experiences and supported one another. And amongst all of that, we played.

But not just sensory play for the sake of keeping babies entertained.

Everything we do is carefully considered for these very earliest weeks and months - supporting tiny developing brains and bodies through gentle, purposeful experiences. Today we explored tummy time, visual development and primitive reflexes - talking about why these early reflexes matter and the foundations they help lay for future movement, development and learning.

Black and white images. Mirrors. Different tummy-time positions. Slow movement. Touch. Connection. šŸ¤

And absolutely no expectation for your baby to do anything.

Feed them. Cuddle them. Let them sleep. Ask questions. Chat to the mama next to you. Come exactly as you are.

Because Womb to World isnā€™t just about nurturing your babyā€™s development. Itā€™s about nurturing you through those early weeks of motherhood, too.

If I could choose one class for every new mama and her tiny baby to experience, it would be this one.

A new term is almost here. šŸ¤

And if youā€™ve been watching us for a while, wondering whether to come alongā€¦ maybe this is your sign.

The Sensory Network isnā€™t about rushing babies through milestones or expecting toddlers to sit perfectly and follow every activity.

Itā€™s about giving little ones beautiful opportunities to move, explore, play, connect and learn - while understanding just how much development is happening underneath it all.

And itā€™s about YOU, too.

A warm welcome. A big smile (or a hug if you need one). Familiar faces. New friendships. Somewhere you can feed your baby, settle them, play with your toddler, chat, laugh and feel completely at home.

Thereā€™s something really special about those early months. šŸ¤

The watching. The reaching. The stretching.
The first rolls, the stronger tummy time, the little hands beginning to explore.

So much is happening, even in the quietest moments.

Our baby classes are thoughtfully created around early development and those all-important milestones - giving babies the movement, sensory experiences and opportunities that help build the foundations for what comes next.

But itā€™s all woven into beautiful, gentle play.

Time on the floor.
Time to explore.
Time to connect with your baby and begin to understand all the incredible things theyā€™re learning to do.

And alongside all of that, thereā€™s you. šŸ¤

I think we might have created something really specialā€¦ šŸ¤Ž

Yesterday, The Play Lounge came to life - and it was everything I hoped it could and would be.

Mums walked through the door and found their space. Somewhere they could sit, have a coffee, chat, meet other mums and just be for a little while.

Meanwhile, the babies and toddlers did exactly what they do bestā€¦ explored. šŸ„°

They moved from room to room, discovered new toys, played, climbed, rolled, watched each other and made themselves completely at home.

There was no class to follow.
No rushing.
No expectations.

Just beautiful, unhurried play.

And all around them? The sound of mums chatting, new friendships forming, babies babbling, toddlers laughing and cups of coffee being enjoyed. ā˜•ļø

This is exactly what I wanted Katieā€™s House to be.

Not just somewhere you come for a class - but somewhere you can belong.

Somewhere between a play cafƩ and a soft play, but calmer, smaller and a little more like home.
