With the sun shining brightly this afternoon, some of our residents took the opportunity to relax and unwind on the balcony.

There’s nothing quite like enjoying the fresh air, feeling the warmth of the sunshine, and taking in the lovely views while spending time with friends. It was a peaceful and enjoyable afternoon, with plenty of smiles, conversation, and moments of relaxation.

Making the most of the beautiful weather is always a highlight, and our balcony provides the perfect place to sit back, soak up some sunshine, and enjoy the outdoors in comfort.

☀️ Keeping Cool and Enjoying a Tasty Treat! ☀️

This afternoon, our residents enjoyed sampling the delicious sausage rolls that Eva kindly made for those who were unable to attend today’s very first Cookery School session. They certainly went down a treat, with plenty of smiles and compliments for our talented baker! 👏🥐

With the temperatures soaring outside, we also made sure to keep cool and hydrated by preparing our own refreshing drinks. Residents enjoyed adding fresh apples and oranges to create fruity, thirst-quenching refreshments that were both healthy and delicious. 🍎🍊🥤

It was a lovely afternoon filled with good food, great company, and plenty of opportunities to stay refreshed during the warm weather.

Well done to everyone involved, and a special thank you to Eva for sharing her tasty creations with us! 💚

🌟 A Wonderful Visit to Fareham College Memory Café 🌟

Today, some of our residents enjoyed a lovely return visit to the Fareham College Memory Café, where they were warmly welcomed by staff, students, and fellow visitors.

The morning was filled with friendly conversation, laughter, and engaging activities, providing a wonderful opportunity to socialise, make new connections, and reminisce. Our residents always enjoy these visits and look forward to spending time in such a welcoming and supportive environment.

A big thank you to everyone at Fareham College for making us feel so welcome once again. We truly appreciate the kindness, companionship, and opportunities you provide for our residents.

🌟 Introducing Willow Tree Lodge Cookery Class! 🌟

Today marked the very first session of our brand-new Willow Tree Lodge Cookery Class, and what a fantastic start it was! 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

Our residents rolled up their sleeves and got creative in the dining room, making their very own delicious sausage rolls from scratch. From mixing ingredients and preparing the pastry to rolling and shaping their creations, everyone enjoyed getting involved and sharing plenty of laughs along the way.

Cooking activities are a wonderful way to encourage creativity, reminiscence, social interaction, and a sense of achievement. The aroma of freshly baked sausage rolls filling the home was an added bonus! 😊

A huge well done to everyone who took part in our first cookery class. We can’t wait to see what tasty treats we create together in the weeks ahead.

This afternoon, our residents enjoyed a wonderfully relaxing time decorating gingerbread biscuits. 🍪✨
There was plenty of creativity on display as everyone added their own unique designs using colourful icing and sweet decorations. It was lovely to see so many smiles, laughter, and artistic talents shining through.
Activities like these provide a great opportunity to relax, socialise, and enjoy some sweet treats together. Well done to everyone for their fantastic creations – they looked almost too good to eat! ❤️

Our residents thoroughly enjoyed joining in with all the wonderful songs, sharing smiles, memories, and plenty of laughter along the way. Music has such a special way of bringing people together, and Debs always creates a fantastic atmosphere that everyone looks forward to.

🎉 Today we celebrated Sheila’s birthday! 🎉
Everyone came together to make Sheila’s special day one to remember, filled with smiles, laughter, and birthday wishes from friends and staff.
A huge thank you to Vicki, our talented chef, for creating Sheila’s cake of choice – a delicious lemon and raspberry cake. 🍋🍰 It looked wonderful and was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone who joined in the celebration.
We hope Sheila had a fantastic birthday and enjoyed being surrounded by friends on her special day.

🇮🇹 Today we celebrated the National Day of Italy! 🇮🇹
Although we were unable to celebrate on the official day earlier this month, our residents thoroughly enjoyed a wonderful Italian-themed day filled with fun, learning, and delicious food.
We spent the morning discovering more about Italy’s fascinating history, rich culture, and world-famous cuisine before enjoying a couple of rounds of Italian-themed bingo.
Our first game focused on Italian food, with Ross and Father David winning the line, and Joyce and Shirley taking home the full house prize. The second round tested our knowledge of Italy itself, and Father David achieved a clean sweep by winning both the line and the full house!
A huge thank you to Vicki for preparing a fantastic Italian feast for lunch. Residents enjoyed homemade pizza, pasta, meatballs, Caesar salad, and Parmesan roast potatoes, followed by a delicious tiramisu for dessert. 🍕🍝🍰
It was a wonderful day filled with laughter, learning, friendly competition, and great food. Thank you to everyone who helped make our Italian celebration such a success!

🎶💃 What a wonderful morning we had today as residents and staff enjoyed sining and dancing with David Pepper!

There were plenty of smiles, lots of singing along, and even a few dancing shoes on display as David entertained everyone with his fantastic performance. The atmosphere was filled with laughter, music, and great company, making it a truly memorable morning for all.

A big thank you to David Pepper for bringing so much joy and energy to our home. We are already looking forward to the next visit! 🎤✨
