20 years of practice, 11 years of teaching and 7 years of Zen Flow Yoga…..

has taught me that the best teachers aren’t the ones with all the answers. They’re the ones who keep listening.

Over the years my classes have become less about perfect sequencing and more about meeting people where they are.

I teach intuitively. I watch, I listen, I feel the energy in the room and allow the practice to unfold from there.

Because yoga isn’t about how a pose looks.

It’s about how it feels.

The moment someone stops trying to achieve a shape and starts experiencing themselves within it, that’s where the real practice begins.

After all these years, that still feels like magic to me. ✨

The people who are best at caring for others are often the worst at noticing when they’re running on empty.

I thought I’d learned my lesson about burnout last year. Turns out there was more to learn.

A reflection on empath burnout, holding space for others, nervous system overload and the surprising ways exhaustion can creep in even when you love what you do.

For anyone whose work revolves around people.

A few moments from our very first Yoga @ The Barn last Thursday.

There was such a lovely energy in the room…..slow mornings, soft light through the barn, movement, breath, laughter, grounding and space to simply arrive as you are.

This class is a mindful and creative morning flow blending mobility, breathing practices , mindfulness, and accessible movement for all bodies and experience levels.

A space to move well, reconnect and begin the day feeling more like yourself.

So grateful to everyone who came to the first class 🤍 and some amazing moments captured by 📸

Step into the season with Sauna & Flow, a 2-hour outdoor experience designed to awaken your body and ease you into summer.

A guided 50-minute flow (no yoga experience necessary) to gently build heat, open the body, and reconnect with your breath.

From there, transition into the sauna for a series of guided breathwork and moments of stillness, with the option to alternate with cold immersion to refresh and reset.

Nearly one month post marathon and I’m realising the hardest part of recovery hasn’t been my legs.

It’s been the comedown afterwards.

The irritability. The flatness. The feeling of being a bit lost without the structure and routine that carried me for months.

For so long my nervous system had a clear focus:
train, fuel, recover, repeat.

Then suddenly… nothing.

As a yoga therapist, I find it fascinating how quickly we can become attached to striving and being ‘on’ and how uncomfortable the stillness afterwards can feel.

Even my HRV reflected it…my body recovered quicker than my nervous system did.

I think endurance training asks far more from us emotionally than we often acknowledge.

Sometimes recovery isn’t about getting back to normal.

Sometimes it’s about learning how to slow down safely again and even I am still learning.
