Another fantastic Staff Meeting in the book ✅

As ever it featured all of the usual awards (500, 1000, 1500, and even 5000 hours worked) and recognition (Caregiver of the month, and Summer Saviours), lots of chat, plus much food and drink (all free!), but we always admire the people who make that little extra effort to attend, even if they don't know anyone.

The benefit of meeting up with your colleagues, old and new, is unmeasurable, but it is always positive and everyone leaves with a smile on their face 😄 having met some new friends.

It was an informative, educational and dare I say...'fun' day at the Visiting Angels UK Regional Conference for The South yesterday.

Talks from Birdie and Pairly were followed by a 'Pirates of the Caribbean' scorecard session, which as you can see, we won!

Dan Archer also spoke about a mantra Chris and Lynn often repeat...'What got you here, wont get you there!'

Well done and thanks to All, with a massive hats off to Bella and the Head Office team for embracing the Pirate theme!

It's Professional Care Workers week!

PCWW is a week long celebration dedicated to care workers and the essential services provided.

The term “Professional” is central to PCWW, as it highlights the skilled and essential nature of care work....It’s time to change the narrative around care workers.

We held a Fundraiser last month for the Care Workers’ Charity, and were delighted to raise and donate £700 to such a great cause.

So, it was The Times and The Sunday Times online yesterday, and today we have made the paper version!

What a great few days for our recruitment team as our specialist work with the Over 50s has now received National, as well as Local recognition.

We might have been moved back a few weeks due to the return of Megan and Harry (!), but it is still a very proud moment for Lynn and Chris that Visiting Angels North Surrey are featured in The Times and The Sunday Times!

The recruitment of caregivers aged Over 55 comes completely naturally to us; why would any business not want people who are loyal, reliable, great workers, advocates for everything you do, plus high performers too!

As with all things recruitment, be it our conveyor of belt of talent coming through at the younger ages, or here at the opposite end of the range, you simply have to commit to it and make it happen!

And the latest Caregiver of the Month is Lynn!

Lynn has grown in confidence recently, and has done a great job with a tricky client, showing much resilience, staying highly motivated, whilst being helpful and knowledgeable too.

Comments from clients and their families include… ‘Lynn is just lovely; I love her so much. I know I shouldn’t have favourites, but she is mine’….‘My mum is often in brighter spirits when I call her after Lynn has visited. Mum opens up to her and that shows how secure and comfortable she feels.'

What were your Office Team doing last Friday?

Ours had a great day away from the office as the team took on the challenge of climbing Up at The O2! 🧗‍♂️🏙️

It was great to step away from the usual routine, get out together and experience something a little different. A brilliant opportunity to test ourselves, enjoy the incredible views and, most importantly, spend quality time together as a team.

It was a fantastic experience, with plenty of laughs, a few tricky bits along the way and amazing views — definitely a day to remember! 🙌
