What a great morning at the Future of Work Summit at Kingston University yesterday!

Tooba and Chris were on a panel discussing essential skills and entry points for the younger workforce, but particularly our person centred approach to recruitment that has led to our success in employing the Under 25s, but also the Over 55s too.

As is the case at these events, there is always more to say, and amazingly we were still talking about our experiences and everything we do even 2 hours later, such was the great feedback to the session.

It was good to listen to Cameron, Susana and Ed to hear their thoughts, whilst the event was excellently chaired by Sandra.

Well done to the Kingston Chamber of Commerce for another fantastic event!

There are just 5 days remaining to complete the Youth Voice Census 2026.

Over the last week national headlines have been dominated by the Milburn Review, rising youth NEET figures now exceeding 1 million, and growing conversations around the barriers young people face in accessing work, training and opportunity.

Now more than ever, it is critical that young people are heard directly.

As part of our relationships with local schools and colleges we have seen the benefit that work can bring to younger people, as they gain new skills and become more confident, both at work and in the classroom.

They will be joining business leaders, founders, professionals and educators for a day of real conversations around recruitment, flexible working and the ways to develop a work-ready generation.

Well, what a fantastic morning at the Cake Sale!

It was much busier than we anticipated, so thanks to everyone who made cakes, or popped in, as most of what we had on display was sold, meaning we have raised an incredible £251.10 for the Alzheimer's Society !

A particular thanks to Tammy, Priya and Rachael who we could not have coped without, such was the constant stream of customers.

Brilliant!

Proud to Support Alzheimer's Society Dementia Action Week with a fundraising Cake Sale .
Join us for coffee, cake and company on Saturday 23rd May 2026 10am-12md at New Malden Methodist Church .
Lynn James , Company Owner and former Alzheimer's Society Outreach Worker will also be on hand for any dementia related guidance and support .
"I ve been supporting people and families affected by dementia since I was a young nurse and have seen first hand how challenging it can be caring for another adult , especially when there is a strong emotional connection and also when you yourself are in your 80's and 90's. It is essential to seek support and get the right help in place . Continuity is a friend of a person experiencing dementia which is why we work the way that we do with consistent caregivers who get to know the person . Pop in and see us .

Abbey was 18 on Wednesday, and Caregiver of the month on Thursday!

A huge congratulations and thanks to Abbey who is our latest winner, following many months of consistent high performance and great feedback from within her visits.

This was one of many highlights on another fantastic staff evening with much fun, laughter, conversation, awards and recognition.

We held an Off Site session with the Office Team in midweek.

Topics covered were maintaining our independent ‘Outstanding Care Provider' rating, being CQC inspection ready at all times, Summer Recruitment, eating cake, etc.

It is always good to get out of the office for a few hours, and what a great venue the Coppa Cobham Village is. Thanks to them for their help and hospitality.
