The heat didn’t stop the energy for our Fun Friday today, bringing our weekly social drinks & karaoke up to our lovely air conditioned lounge 🎶🥂 We sang along to some familiar favourites, joined in with a wonderful gospel performance from our amazing care assistants Jefferson & Lavern & wished the lovely June a very happy birthday! 💖🎂

This afternoon we enjoyed cheese & wine tasting, sampling a delicious selection of cheeses with crackers & accompaniments 🧀🍷 From the fruity flavours of pineapple & almond soft cheese and cranberry & apricot Wensleydale, to the herby notes of Le Roulé alongside familiar favourites including Red Leicester, Brie and Cheddar. A lovely social while listening to music and finishing off with a dance 💃🏻🕺🏻💖

A lovely afternoon connecting with nature 🌿 Lucy from MHA The Wilderness joined us for a flower pressing session, choosing from a range of beautiful flowers to press for future arts & crafts activities. This was followed by the exciting reveal of our potato harvest! We guessed how many potatoes we’d grown from a previous gardening activity & were thrilled to count 69 potatoes! 🥔 This along with fresh mint and parsley we’d grown was taken up to our kitchen to use 🌱 There’s nothing quite like enjoying the rewards of growing your own produce 💚
