A wonderful day was enjoyed on our recent outing to the beautiful Isabella Plantation in Richmond Park.😁

Residents were treated to a guided walk through the plantation at the very height of its spring flowering season, where vibrant blooms, specimen trees and tranquil ponds created a truly breathtaking setting.🌻 Stops at Still Pond and Peg’s Pond gave everyone the opportunity to relax and enjoy a delicious picnic lunch surrounded by nature.🌳

A special thank you to Janet, our knowledgeable volunteer guide, who shared fascinating insights into many of the plantation’s remarkable trees, including the Prunus serrula, handkerchief tree and Monterey Redwood. Thoughtfully designed decked paths and bridges ensured that every part of this stunning woodland garden could be explored and appreciated by all.

Back at base camp, folding chairs and a wonderful picnic prepared by Goran and BillieJo were waiting for us — the perfect ending to a sunny and successful outing.🌞

The Chelsea Flower Show is one of the most inspiring events in the gardening calendar, celebrating creativity, nature, and the beauty that plants and flowers bring to our lives. It’s a wonderful reminder of how powerful gardening can be for our wellbeing - and it's just on the doorstep of Battersea Place.

Throwback Thursday - We had a great evening celebrating St George’s Day at Battersea Place with residents enjoying a delicious a buffet selection including Jersey royal smoked salmon and asparagus salad; roasted beetroot trio goat cheese curd salad with walnut dressing; braised beef brisket served with dark chocolate red wine jus and bread sauce; cod topped with Monterey Jack cheese and wild garlic crust; selection of cheese, Queen Jubilee trifle and much more, all paired with a nice selection of wine.

Residents enjoyed the truly exceptional service from our teams across the event.
