🎉 Happy Birthday, Carol! 🎉

What a wonderful day we had celebrating Carol's special birthday, surrounded by her loving family, beautiful flowers, good friends, and plenty of smiles, it was a truly memorable occasion.

The highlight of the afternoon was a delicious birthday cake, enjoyed by everyone as we came together to wish Carol a very Happy birthday 💐🎂

☕🇬🇧 Great British Brew Coffee Morning 🇬🇧☕

Residents, families, and guests enjoyed a wonderful morning at our monthly Coffee Morning, where this month's theme was the Great British Brew!

The morning was filled with laughter and friendly competition as everyone took part in a British themed quiz, alongside enjoying a selection of delicious pastries and, of course, plenty of tea and coffee.

We were delighted to welcome members of the local Muslim Women's Association, who kindly shared their homemade chai tea and a variety of traditional Asian snacks. These were a huge hit with everyone and offered a wonderful opportunity to celebrate different cultures, flavours, and community spirit together.

A big thank you to our special visitors for joining us and helping to make the morning so memorable. It's always wonderful to bring people together over a warm drink, good conversation, and delicious treats.

Our residents have been getting creative with our recent Freddie's Flowers delivery! 🌸🎨

Rather than letting the beautiful floral boxes go to waste, residents transformed them into colourful works of art, decorating each one with bright paints and plenty of imagination. It was a wonderful afternoon filled with creativity, conversation, and lots of smiles.

The finished boxes look fantastic and are a lovely reminder that inspiration can be found in the simplest things. Well done to everyone who took part! 💐✨

Our residents enjoyed a wonderful day out at the Natural History Museum! 🦕🦋

Everyone had a fantastic time exploring the fascinating exhibits, discovering amazing artefacts, and sharing memories and conversations along the way. The trip provided plenty of opportunities for learning, laughter, and enjoyment.

To make the day even more special, our residents tucked into a delicious packed lunch prepared by our kitchen team.

A lovely day was had by all, and we look forward to many more adventures together! 💚

A lovely day of pampering and relaxation! 💇‍♀️☕🐾

Our residents enjoyed being treated by our wonderful hairdresser, Sharon, leaving everyone looking and feeling their very best. After their salon experience, it was time to unwind in our coffee shop with a delicious cup of coffee, plenty of laughter, and great company.

The day was made even more special with a visit from our furry friend Barney, who was more than happy to spend time with everyone and receive lots of cuddles and attention.

It's the simple pleasures that bring so much joy, good friends, a fresh new hairstyle, a tasty coffee, and a wagging tail! ❤️

🎉 EYES DOWN! 🎉

What a fantastic time we had at our Big Bingo Event!

We were delighted to welcome a professional bingo company to host the afternoon, bringing plenty of fun, laughter, and excitement for our residents and staff. Everyone enjoyed several rounds of traditional bingo as well as musical bingo, eagerly dabbing off their numbers and singing along to some favourite tunes.

There were some brilliant prizes up for grabs, including a David Beckham cardboard cut out, a Donald Duck mug, and even a plastic heron! 🦆⚽🪿

The room was filled with smiles, friendly competition, and lots of cheering as winners claimed their prizes.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and helped make the day so special. We loved seeing everyone having fun together and creating more wonderful memories at Lyle House.

Our residents found the perfect way to stay cool in the heat, getting creative with ice paintings! 🎨❄️

Using colourful paints and ice, everyone enjoyed exploring different patterns, colours, and textures while having lots of fun together. A brilliant way to keep cool, get creative, and enjoy the sunshine safely! ☀️💙

🏆🎂 The winner of the Country Court Bake-Off Competition is... Charlotte Legge from Castor Lodge Care Home! 🎂🏆

Charlotte wowed the judges with her incredible campervan-themed birthday cake, featuring four delicious layers: Coffee & Walnut, Lemon Drizzle, Red Velvet and Victoria Sponge. Inspired by an era loved by residents, the ambitious design showcased exceptional creativity, skill and attention to detail.

This year's competition celebrated the amazing birthday cakes our teams lovingly create for residents and colleagues, making special occasions even more memorable. Judged on presentation, taste, innovation and baking skill, the standard was incredibly high.

A huge congratulations also goes to our fantastic finalists:
