🍂☕ A Cosy Autumn Coffee Morning! ☕🍂

We had a wonderful time at our monthly coffee morning, and this month we embraced all things autumn! 🍁🧡

Our residents, friends and local community came together to enjoy a fun autumn themed quiz, delicious pastries and, of course, a good ol’ chit chat over a lovely cuppa! 🥐☕🥰

It was such a pleasure to bring everyone together for a morning full of laughter, friendly faces and lovely company. These little moments make such a big difference! ❤️

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the morning so special. We can’t wait to welcome you all back next month! 🍂

🎉🎂 Happy Birthday, Roger! 🎂🎉

We’ve had a wonderful time celebrating Roger’s special day! 🥳❤️

Roger enjoyed a delicious birthday cake made by our fantastic kitchen team 🍰, followed by a lovely dance with fellow residents and members of our team. 💃🕺 There were plenty of smiles, laughter and happy moments shared all around!

🧘‍♀️✨ Seated Yoga & Mindfulness ✨🧘‍♀️

We were delighted to welcome the wonderful Bonita for a relaxing seated yoga and mindfulness session. 💜

Our residents enjoyed taking some time to slow down, stretch, breathe and focus on their wellbeing in a calm and supportive environment. It was a lovely opportunity to promote movement, relaxation and mindfulness, all while enjoying some peaceful time together. 🌿😊

A big thank you to Bonita for leading such a wonderful session, we’re looking forward to welcoming her back again soon! 🧘‍♂️💫

🎭🧸 A Fascinating History Club Session! 🧸🎭

Our History Club enjoyed a wonderfully unique session recently, thanks to Vernon, who kindly came along to share his fascinating puppet collection with us!

Vernon talked to residents about his collection, sharing stories and interesting facts about the different puppets. He also gave us a fantastic demonstration of how to use the puppets, bringing them to life and giving everyone a chance to see the skill and creativity involved. 🎭✨

It was a brilliant opportunity for our residents to reminisce, learn something new and enjoy a very entertaining afternoon together.

🧠💙 Dementia Virtual Tour 💙🧠

We recently welcomed Training2Care for their powerful and insightful Dementia Virtual Tour.

The sensory based experience offered everyone who took part the opportunity to step into the world of dementia and gain a greater understanding of some of the challenges a person living with dementia may experience in everyday life.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to support us and took the time to learn, listen and experience something truly thought provoking. 💙

We are so grateful to Training2Care for providing such a valuable experience and helping us continue to raise awareness and understanding of dementia within our community. 🌟

💜 World Alzheimer’s Month 💜

As part of World Alzheimer’s Month, we were delighted to welcome Caroline from the Alzheimer’s Society, for an informative and engaging Dementia Friends session.

Caroline shared valuable insights, helping us to better understand how it can affect people living with dementia and the small, meaningful ways we can all make a positive difference. 🧠💜

It was a wonderful opportunity for our team, families and community to learn more, ask questions and become more dementia aware.

🌸 Turning Kindness into Joy 🌸

Our residents have been busy creating beautiful floral arrangements using the wonderful flowers kindly donated by Mortlake Crematorium. 💐

We are incredibly grateful for their generosity. It’s heartwarming to see how something connected to such a sad time can bring so much colour, happiness and joy to our residents.

These beautiful blooms are now brightening up our home and bringing smiles to everyone who sees them. ❤️
