OS Clinic OS Clinic

Group of expert consultants providing a full range of orthopaedic services.

Orthopaedic Specialists understand that undergoing medical treatment can be daunting, which is why our mission is to minimise pain and get patients back to full fitness as quickly as possible. Orthopaedic Specialists include oral and maxillofacial and pain management in addition to all orthopaedic sub-specialties. With the support of an exceptional multi-disciplinary team, patients are guaranteed

a quick diagnosis and a personalised care plan, regardless of whether they’re being treated for a sports injury or their condition is down to wear and tear. As leaders in their respective fields, Orthopaedic Specialists are pioneers and educators. They are key players in training the next generation of orthopaedic experts, and they’ve helped to develop several of today’s revolutionary techniques, too. Of course, we’re proud of our global success, but it’s what this means for our patients’ outcomes that counts. With access to the world’s most advanced surgical and non-surgical techniques, we always examine every treatment option. We know that less invasive procedures are highly effective and can reduce recovery times, so we only perform joint replacement surgery as the last – not the first – resort. With easily accessible clinics in Harley Street and across London, there are no waiting lists, and patients can self-refer by emailing or calling for an appointment. Orthopaedic Specialists treat self-funded patients and those with private health insurance, providing a full service for international patients overseeing every aspect of their care.

What makes truly exceptional patient care? According to Mr Luke Cascarini, it starts with taking the time to listen.

In a world where appointments can often feel rushed, meaningful conversations remain one of the most important parts of healthcare.

Understanding a patient’s concerns, expectations, personality, and goals allows for a more personalised and thoughtful approach to treatment, and ultimately, better outcomes.

As Mr Cascarini explains, some of the most challenging situations can happen when there has not been enough time spent talking through what a patient truly wants and needs.

Building trust, creating understanding, and seeing the patient as a whole person, not just a condition, is what patient-centred care is all about.

“Getting to know someone takes time.”

“It felt like somebody kicked me in the back of the leg.”
That is one of the most common descriptions patients give after rupturing their Achilles tendon. Even elite athletes experience it this way.

In fact, when David Beckham suffered his famous Achilles injury, footage shows him immediately turning around because he genuinely believed someone had kicked him from behind.

In this discussion, Professor Nima Heidari explains the classic signs of an Achilles tendon rupture, why early diagnosis is so important, and what to do immediately after the injury occurs. Positioning the foot correctly and immobilising the tendon early can play a vital role in protecting the injury before specialist treatment.

Professor Nima Heidari specialises in foot and ankle conditions, sports injuries, and complex lower limb reconstruction. Known for his precision, calm approach, and expertise in advanced tendon and ligament treatment, he helps patients return safely to movement, sport, and daily life.

At OS Clinic, we believe expert education is just as important as expert treatment. Recognising the warning signs early can make a significant difference to long-term recovery and outcomes.

Six months of recovery, a lifetime back in the game.
Ian is a 54-year-old squash and tennis player who began experiencing severe stabbing pain on the inner side of his knee during a match. Imaging confirmed significant wear and tear, a thinning meniscus, and bowing of the leg. He was forced to stop playing sports altogether.

After finding Mr Raghbir Khakha at OS Clinic, Ian underwent a knee osteotomy, a procedure that realigns the knee joint to relieve pressure, restore function, and avoid the need for a full knee replacement.

Within six months Ian was back playing tennis. Shortly after, back on the squash court completely pain free.

In his own words: "Having suffered huge pain across my right knee, the team performed a massively successful osteotomy. I am now playing squash and tennis as good as new."

Mr Raghbir Khakha adds: "Ian is absolutely delighted with the outcome. It has been a pleasure looking after him."

If knee pain is stopping you from doing what you love, do not wait. There are options beyond pain management and knee replacement, and the right specialist makes all the difference.
