Cervical screenings (smear tests) are one of the best ways to protect yourself from cervical cancer.

Cervical screenings check a sample of cells from the cervix for certain types of human papillomavirus (HPV). If abnormal cells are found, they can be treated, so they do not get a chance to turn into cervical cancer.

It's important to attend regular smear tests to help prevent cervical cancer.

Mr Neil Barber, Consultant Urological Surgeon at Cromwell Hospital, shares how Aquablation® therapy can help those with an enlarged prostate.

Using precise robotic technology and a heat-free waterjet, it is less likely to cause damage to surrounding healthy tissues and can be completed in a shorter procedure time compared to other treatment options.

In 2026 we introduced of the new HYDROS® Robotic System, becoming one of the first hospitals in the UK to offer Aquablation® therapy using this next-generation, AI-powered platform.

With football in focus due to the World Cup, it’s a timely reminder of how vulnerable the knee can be during the game.

Quick pivots, sudden stops and tackles all place significant strain on the joint - making injuries like ligament tears, meniscal damage and tendon issues all too common.

Mr Raghbir Khakha, Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Cromwell Hospital, explains the most common knee injuries caused by football.

If you've recently been injured playing sports, or are concerned about an ongoing injury, our consultant orthopaedic surgeons can help you.

Our expert multidisciplinary team of orthopaedic surgeons and consultants provide rapid assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for a range of conditions affecting the bones, joints, and soft tissues.

Happy Dietitians Week to our incredible Dietitian Team at Cromwell Hospital!

This week, we’re proud to celebrate the expertise, compassion, and dedication our dietitians bring to patient care every day. Their work plays a vital role in improving health outcomes and supporting patients on their recovery journeys.

The team held an event at the hospital today where they shared information about dietetics, had a quiz about sugar content in food, and answered a survey. Feedback from staff shows that respondents felt dietitians have a positive impact on patient outcomes, along with valuable insights on education and training.

Join us in recognising our Dietitian Team and the difference they make every day.

This World Heart Rhythm Week we are sharing information on heart rhythm conditions.

Heart rhythm problems are when your heart beats too quickly or too slowly, or your heartbeat is not steady.

Heart palpitations are common and not usually a sign of anything serious.

They can be caused by some medications, lack of sleep, stress and anxiety, strenuous exercise, alcohol, ni****ne, and caffeine.

However, if you are concerned about any symptoms, it is important to see a healthcare professional without delay.
