📢 We’re changing our online triage system

From Monday 21st September 2026, we will be changing our online triage system to PATCHS.
From this date, patients wishing to submit an online request to the practice will need to use PATCHS.

We appreciate that using a new system can take a little time to get used to, so we will be sharing further information and guidance to help patients with the change.

💻 Need help using PATCHS?
You can find useful guidance here:
https://help.patchs.ai/hc/en-gb
Please see the poster below for further information.

Thank you for your patience and support while we make this change.

You might know that sepsis is a serious condition, but were you aware that it is a reaction to an infection, and that it can be life-threatening?

🫁 If you think you have a chest or urine infection (UTI) - speak to your pharmacist or GP practice.

⚠️ When it comes to sepsis, trust your instincts. Dial 999 or visit A&E if you think there's something seriously wrong.

💊 Antibiotics can help prevent bacterial infections from developing into sepsis. That's why it's important to take antibiotics as prescribed and only when they are needed.

Feeling low, anxious, stressed or overwhelmed? 💚

There are lots of things you can try to support your mental wellbeing, from getting outside for a walk and talking to someone you trust, to doing something you enjoy or finding time to relax.

But sometimes, you may need a bit of extra support — and that’s okay.

The Mental Health Service Finder can help you find local mental health services and support across Greater Manchester.

Flu Update:

We are starting this flu season by prioritising flu vaccinations for children, to prevent them from becoming seriously unwell and to prevent them spreading the virus to the wider population.

Adult flu vaccinations will start in October.

Children aged two and three years, and school aged children with long term health conditions, have received their first invite from us to book in for their nasal flu vaccination.

Please follow the instructions on your child's invite to book them into our dedicated "Flu Fighters" nasal flu clinics.

The nasal vaccine will be offered in school for children who have not received an invite from us.

The FREE nasal spray is the best defence children have against flu.

Here are five great reasons why your child should become a Flu Fighter:

1 The vaccine will help protect your child against flu and serious complications like bronchitis and pneumonia.

2 Vaccinating your child will help protect more vulnerable family members and your friends, too.

3 There’s no nasty needles! The nasal spray is a quick sq**rt up the nose, nothing more – it’s easy and painless.

4 It's better than having flu! The nasal spray helps protect against flu, has been given to millions of children worldwide and has an excellent safety record.

5 It can also save you money, because if your child gets flu, you might end up having to take time off work or arrange alternative childcare.

📢📢We have some locations to add to our drop in sessions list📢📢

Our drop-in sessions run weekly. ❤️

Come along for a friendly, supportive space where you can ask any questions you may have, chat through any concerns, or get practical breastfeeding support from our team. 🤱

There’s no need to book an appointment — just turn up! We recommend arriving with plenty of time before the session ends, so we can make sure we have enough time to give you the support you need.

We’d love to see you there! ❤️

Reminder, the surgery will be closed on 9th September from 1pm, for important staff training. We will re-open at 8am on Thursday 10th September.

If you need medical attention, you can call the NHS 111 for medical help and advice 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including bank holidays.

People often feel unwell with various symptoms and do not know the best place to get help. We encourage people not to go to A&E if it isn’t an emergency, but to call the NHS 111 telephone service as a key first point of contact for non-emergency medical help.

When patients dial 111 they are put through to highly trained call handlers, supported by experienced nurses or paramedics. You can also access the service online by visiting:
https://111.nhs.uk/

You will be clinically assessed and either given appropriate advice or referred directly to the most appropriate service which can deal with your injury or illness. This may range from dentist, pharmacy, community service to out-of-hours GP, or in some cases an ambulance.

In the event of an emergency, please call 999.
