💚 MOVE, RELEASE, CONNECT – CHAKRA DANCING & CREATIVE MEDITATION AT FLOW MOTION, MATLOCK💚

November is a month to shine a light on mental health, particularly men's mental health, and to remind ourselves that none of us need to face life's challenges alone. ❤️

Join me on Monday 2nd November, 7:45pm–8:45pm at Flow Motion, Matlock for a beautiful evening of Chakra Dancing & Creative Meditation a space to move your body, release tension, reconnect with yourself and feel the power of community.

🌟 A SPECIAL INVITATION TO MEN

To mark the start of Men's Mental Health Awareness Month, I'm offering all men attending this class a COMPLIMENTARY CLASS.

You don't need to be a dancer, you don't need any experience, and you certainly don't need to know what you're doing! Just come as you are.

🌿 MOVEMENT FOR MENTAL WELLBEING

With Stress Awareness Day on 4th November also approaching, it's the perfect time to explore how movement can support our mental and emotional wellbeing.

Chakra Dancing offers an opportunity to:

✨ Release built-up stress and physical tension.
✨ Calm the mind and create space away from everyday worries.
✨ Support emotional expression and help us reconnect with ourselves.
✨ Encourage relaxation, mindfulness and a sense of balance.
✨ Boost mood, confidence and self-awareness.
✨ Feel less isolated by connecting with others in a welcoming, supportive environment.

Sometimes we hold so much inside that we struggle to find the words. Movement gives us another way to express, release and process what we're feeling.

💚 BUILDING A COMMUNITY, NOT JUST A DANCE CLASS

My vision is to create a community where we can come together without judgement, support one another, feel safe to be ourselves and remember that we're not alone.

Whether you're feeling stressed, anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply looking for something positive for yourself, this is your invitation.

You don't have to talk about how you're feeling. You don't have to explain anything. Just turn up, move, breathe and be part of something.

Let's break down the stigma around mental health, especially for men, and create spaces where looking after our mental wellbeing becomes something we do together.

Let's move together, support each other and remind ourselves that taking care of our mental health is a strength, not a weakness.💚

💙 STRESS, MEN’S MENTAL HEALTH & THE BUILD-UP TO CHRISTMAS🎄

Christmas can be a wonderful time of year, but the build-up can also bring pressure, overwhelm, anxiety and stress.

Between work, family commitments and trying to make everything perfect for everyone else, we can forget to look after ourselves.

For men especially, there can be pressure to keep going, stay strong and hide how we’re really feeling. But looking after your mental health isn’t a weakness. Asking for support is a strength.💙

With Stress Awareness Day on 4th November, I want to encourage everyone to slow down, take a breath and make time for their wellbeing.

✨ A SPECIAL INVITATION FOR MEN ✨

To support men’s mental health awareness, I’m offering men the opportunity to attend one of my classes COMPLIMENTARY (FREE) this month.

No pressure, no expectations and no experience needed. Just a welcoming space to move, breathe, release tension and take some time for yourself. 🙏

✨ Let’s build our community! ✨

I’m going to set up a WhatsApp group to help keep everyone up to date with class information, and I’d love for it to become a little community space too! 💛

It would be a really useful way for me to keep you informed of any last-minute class cancellations or changes, as well as sharing any spontaneous events or extra activities I might organise, especially during the summer, when the sunshine might inspire us to take things outdoors! ☀️🌿

But I’d also love it to be about more than just class updates. It could be a lovely way for us to connect as a community, support one another, and share opportunities to car-share when travelling to events, where convenient. 🚗💚

Whether it’s helping each other out, making it easier to get to events, or simply feeling more connected, I’d love to create a space where we can keep in touch and support each other.

📱 A few things to know:

Joining the group will be completely optional, there’s absolutely no pressure to join.

Messages will be kept to a minimum, so the group won’t become overwhelming or clutter up your phone! It will mainly be used for important class updates, occasional event announcements and useful community information.

The idea is to keep everyone informed while creating opportunities for us to connect and support one another.

Would you be interested in joining? 💬

I’d love to bring everyone a little closer together and build an even stronger community! ❤️✨

🌸 Honouring Menopause Awareness Month 🌸

This week, I also want to bring awareness to menopause and the many ways it can affect us, whether you're experiencing perimenopause, menopause or postmenopause.

We'll be paying particular attention to our chakras and exploring how movement, breath and meditation can support our sense of wellbeing during this stage of life. We'll create space to tune into ourselves, honour what our bodies are going through and nurture ourselves with kindness and compassion. 💗

Menopause can affect us physically, emotionally and energetically, and it's so important that we feel supported, heard and connected.

✨ NOVEMBER CHAKRA DANCING CLASSES A SPACE FOR EVERYONE ✨

I am so excited to be bringing you our November Chakra Dancing classes, with a special focus on Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month💙

Throughout November, I want to help break down stigmas, encourage open conversations, and remind everyone that taking care of our mental, emotional and spiritual wellbeing is just as important as looking after our physical health.

💙 A SPECIAL OFFER FOR OUR MALE ATTENDEES

To celebrate Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month, all male attendees joining us throughout November will receive COMPLIMENTARY ADMISSION to our classes.

Chakra Dancing may sometimes be perceived as a class more suited to women, but we want to challenge that misconception! 🙌

Chakra Dancing is for EVERYONE.

It offers a space to reconnect with your body, move through emotions, release tension, quiet the mind and simply be yourself without judgement or expectation. You don't need to know how to dance, you don't need any experience, and you certainly don't need to have everything figured out. 💫

Sometimes, movement can help us express what words cannot.

And don't just take our word for it… ❤️

We’re delighted to share a testimonial from one of our male attendees, whose experience beautifully highlights that this space really is for everyone.

✨ I tried something new, and it was fantastic. Movement without judgement.

Karen made me feel truly welcome and I will be back for the next session. ✨

🎄 HOLDING SPACE THROUGH THE LEAD-UP TO CHRISTMAS

As we move towards Advent and Christmas, we also recognise that this time of year isn't always filled with joy, celebration and excitement for everyone.

For some, the pressure and busyness of preparing for Christmas can bring feelings of stress, anxiety and overwhelm.

For others, it can be a time of loneliness and isolation, particularly when life doesn't reflect the traditional picture of Christmas we so often see around us.

And for many, this season can bring a deep awareness of those who are no longer with us, stirring up grief, memories and emotions that can feel especially heavy at this time of year. ❤️‍🩹

Our November classes will offer a gentle, supportive space to pause, breathe, reconnect and give yourself permission to feel whatever you need to feel.

Through Chakra Dancing, we can explore ways to work with grief, release tension, ease anxiety and create space for our emotions, allowing ourselves a little more compassion and calm amidst the demands of everyday life.

You don't have to arrive feeling happy.
You don't have to arrive feeling strong.
You don't have to explain what you're going through.

You can simply come as you are. 🤍

Whether you're looking for connection, emotional release, a moment of peace, or simply some time for yourself, you are welcome here.

Let's make November a month where we open conversations, challenge perceptions, support one another and remember that we all deserve space to care for our wellbeing.

💙 Men's mental health matters.
💫 Movement is for everyone.
🤍 And nobody should have to navigate difficult emotions alone.

I can't wait to welcome you to our November classes.

🍂 Honouring ourselves as we move into winter

As the clocks go back and the days become shorter, we can sometimes feel a little unsettled as we adjust to the darker mornings and evenings. We may find ourselves missing that time outdoors, feeling more isolated, or experiencing increased anxiety and overwhelm as we move into the winter months.

Winter is traditionally a time for slowing down, resting and turning inward. Yet, in our busy everyday lives, finding the space to do this isn't always easy.

For me, I know that I can struggle with the transition into winter. I often experience feelings of anxiety and overwhelm, and last year I read a beautiful book called Wintering by Katherine May. It helped me reflect on the importance of honouring my body, accepting that I might need a little more rest, and allowing myself to move through the season rather than constantly pushing against it.

There are so many little things we can do to support our bodies and minds during this time. 🌿

✨ Practising yoga or mindfulness.
✨ Exploring chakra dancing, allowing the body to re-energise, move freely and release what it may be holding on to.
✨ Getting outside and connecting with nature whenever we can.
✨ Making time for connection, especially if we live alone or find ourselves feeling isolated.
✨ Giving ourselves permission to curl up with a good book, enjoy a cosy evening or finally finish that jigsaw we started two years ago!

We don't always have to be doing more. Sometimes, looking after ourselves means doing a little less and listening a little more closely to what we need.

💛 I'd love to hear from you

What helps you navigate the transition into winter? Have you developed any little rituals, practices or habits that help you manage anxiety, lift your energy or feel more connected during the darker months?

Perhaps it's movement, music, dancing, time in nature, a favourite book, or simply allowing yourself to rest.

Let's share our ideas and support one another as we move through this season together. 🍁✨

☀️💛 BAKEWELL CHAKRA DANCING & CREATIVE MEDITATION, Bakewell Town Hall 💛☀️

As the clocks go back and we begin to experience shorter days and longer nights, nature invites us to slow down, turn inward, and take extra care of ourselves.

Winter can often leave us feeling tired, depleted, or lacking motivation, which is why now is the perfect time to nurture our wellbeing from the inside out.

Over the coming months, we will be placing special focus on the Solar Plexus Chakra, our centre of personal power, confidence, self-worth, and inner strength.

When our Solar Plexus is balanced, we are more likely to:
✨ Feel confident and empowered
✨ Trust ourselves and our decisions
✨ Maintain healthy boundaries
✨ Stay motivated and positive during darker months
✨ Feel connected to our inner light, even when daylight is limited

Through guided Chakra Dancing, creative meditation, music, movement, and reflection, we'll gently awaken and strengthen this important energy centre, helping you move through winter with greater resilience, confidence, and joy.

There is something deeply healing about coming together in community, moving our bodies, releasing what no longer serves us, and reconnecting with the light that already exists within.

🍂 As the season changes, give yourself permission to prioritise your wellbeing. 💛 Nurture your inner sunshine. ✨ Move, release, connect, and thrive.

I look forward to dancing with you in Bakewell.

🍂🌿 Finding my grounding in nature 🌿🍂

Lately, I’ve been feeling a little ungrounded, and I’m aware that the changing seasons can affect me, particularly as I experience Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD). As the days grow shorter, I’m trying to be more mindful of what my body, mind and spirit need. 🤎

Today, I enjoyed a beautiful six mile walk through the forest, making the most of the sunshine on my face, the rustling trees and the birds singing around me. ☀️🌳 Sometimes, it's the simplest moments that bring us back to ourselves.

The sunshine felt particularly nourishing for my solar plexus chakra, which I feel needs extra love and attention during the winter months. 💛

I love exploring the forest, discovering mushrooms and losing myself in photography. 🍄📸 There's something magical about slowing down and noticing the little things we might otherwise miss.

I also had a beautiful encounter with a very cheeky horse! 🐴 Horses have such a special, spiritual energy, and moments like these remind me to stay present and appreciate the unexpected gifts nature brings.

Alongside my walks, I've been practising chakra dancing and listening more closely to my body, giving myself permission to slow down and restore my balance. ✨

I've also been adding more red foods to my diet, including radishes, tomatoes and goji berries, to support my root chakra and connection to the earth. ❤️ Even more special, the tomatoes and goji berries are homegrown, making them little reminders of the joy of nurturing something from seed to harvest.

As we move into the darker months, I'm reminding myself that it's okay to feel a little out of balance sometimes. The important thing is to listen, nurture ourselves and find what brings us back to centre.

🌿 Nature reminds us that we don't have to bloom all year round. Sometimes, we simply need to rest, reconnect and trust the season we're in. 🍂🤎
