❗❗Staff Shortages/Sickness - Friday 19 June 2026 ❗️❗️

Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, we have a high level of staff shortages today.

We are doing our utmost to 'back fill' these shortages and hope to resume normal service as soon as possible.

If in the unfortunate event your appointment needs to be cancelled/rearranged, we will be contacting patients as soon as possible.

We realise our staff shortage situation is not ideal but we ask for your patience, support and understanding at this time.

❗Staff Training - Practice Afternoon Closure - 17 June 2026❗

As part of the Continuing Professional Development of our staff, Newhall Surgery will be closed this afternoon between 1.30pm and 6.30pm.

Should you require medical assistance during this time please visit your local walk-in centre or urgent care centre or call NHS 111.

Should you require urgent medical assistance please visit your local A&E department or call 999.

For non-urgent medical or administrative help, you can contact us using Rapid Health - https://newhall-consult.uk.rapidhealth.co.uk/

This service allows you to tell us about your symptoms, ask questions, or request advice without needing to phone or attend the practice.

Your request will be reviewed by our clinical or administrative team. Submissions are reviewed during our normal working hours, and we will provide a response once your request has been assessed within one working day.

We are looking for an additional salaried GP to join our friendly and professional clinical team for 4 sessions per week. We are situated in the beautiful South Derbyshire countryside. (Around a twenty minute drive to Derby City Centre and approximately thirty minutes to Birmingham City Centre).
