Monthly Wednesday Wellbeing sessions.

Wednesday 26th June, 18:30-20:30

Sound Journey for Relaxation, Balance & Wellbeing by Ricky -

I am delighted to offer a gentle and restorative Sound Journey at the Sikh Centre, creating a peaceful space for relaxation, reflection, and inner harmony.

During this session, I will be using seven crystal singing bowls, each resonating with one of the body's primary energy centres (chakras), along with a small gong and a variety of therapeutic instruments. The soothing vibrations and frequencies are intended to encourage deep relaxation, help calm the mind, release tension, and promote a sense of balance and wellbeing.

As part of the experience, I will be playing a guided chakra meditation which gently leads participants through each of the seven chakras. As the meditation focuses on each energy centre, I will play the corresponding crystal singing bowl to complement and enhance the experience, creating a deeply immersive and meditative journey for the group.

To ensure your comfort, I recommend bringing a yoga mat, pillow, and a warm blanket. This will allow you to relax fully and enjoy the chakra-balancing sound bath in comfort.

This experience is open to everyone, regardless of background or beliefs, and is offered as an opportunity to rest, reconnect, and enjoy the calming and restorative qualities of sound.

Please note: If you wear hearing aids, I kindly ask that you remove them before the session begins, as the crystal singing bowls produce high-frequency sounds that may be uncomfortable or overly sensitive when amplified through hearing aids.

I look forward to sharing this peaceful and uplifting experience with you.

This Volunteers' Week, we want to say something simple — thank you. 💙

To the people who give their time to SCCYC: you drive the food deliveries, run the sessions, events, welcome the faces, and show up — week after week — for people who need it most.

This year alone, your contribution is valued at approximately £20,000. But what you give our community goes far beyond any number.

From all of us at SCCYC — we are so grateful.

There’s still many voluntary roles and opportunities available at SCCYC, contact us to get involved
