🌟 A lovely afternoon yesterday for one of our service users from Clearview!🌟

Donna Clearview’s House Manager supported one of our service users to the beautiful Theatre Royal Plymouth to watch Legally Blonde.

There were plenty of smiles, laughter, and great entertainment throughout the show. It’s always wonderful to see our service users enjoying new experiences and making special memories in the community. 💕🎭

Here’s Tracy, one of our amazing staff members here at ICL who does a fantastic job each week teaching staff a different sign language sign 💙

This is such a great way for our team to continue learning new skills and helps us ensure we can communicate and connect with our service users who are non-verbal. Communication is so important, and we love seeing everyone getting involved and expanding their knowledge.

Another fun-filled week at ICL Homes! 💙

Our service users have had another fantastic week enjoying lots of smiles, laughter and activities together. From getting involved in different sessions and spending quality time together, it’s been lovely seeing everyone making memories and having fun along the way.

There is never a dull moment in our homes and we love seeing everyone getting involved, building confidence and enjoying new experiences. 🌟

March & April have were full of fun, creativity and lots of delicious food across our ICL Homes 🌍✈️🍴

You may notice lots of our “Around the World” pictures amongst lots of other great activities that we have been doing recently … that’s because each week our homes have been travelling to a different country through food, decorations, activities and learning about different cultures together.

So far we have travelled to:

🇨🇳 China
🇺🇸 America
🇮🇹 Italy
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 England
🇷🇴 Romania

Our service users and staff have loved getting involved by tasting different foods, making posters, decorating the homes and learning new things about each country along the way.

It has been fantastic to see everybody joining in, trying new experiences and having so much fun together. We can’t wait to see where we travel to next! 🌎💙

Dying Matters Awareness Week (4–10 May 2026), led by Hospice UK, encourages open conversations about death, dying, and bereavement to break taboos and reduce stigma. The 2026 theme, "Let’s Talk about Death and Dying”

Death is not always something we want to talk about, but it is really important that we do, to ensure we can gather everybody’s wishes and make sure their voices are heard. Creating a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment to have these conversations is so valuable 🤍

Therefore we held our own Dying Matters coffee and cake hour. This went really well and even lasted longer than planned, which shows just how much everyone enjoyed coming together.

Everyone loved choosing a cupcake with a number on it, matching it to the question cards on the tables. It created some really meaningful conversations, lots of laughter, and even ended with a bit of a sing song and dancing 💃🎶

A huge thank you to everyone involved in making this happen across all of our houses. It was wonderful to see everyone come together, support one another, and enjoy such a positive afternoon. 🌈🕊️

Another fantastic week at ICL Homes! 🌈

Our service users have been busy enjoying a wide range of fun and meaningful activities. From the excitement of indoor curling and bowling to attending Orbit Club, there has been something for everyone to get involved in.🎳

Back at home, we’ve also enjoyed plenty of in-house activities, including creative arts and crafts, keeping everyone engaged, social, and smiling. 🎨

This week, Lookman, one of our dedicated team members, held his second Christian faith session. It was a lovely opportunity for those who wished to attend to come together for reflection, discussion, and spiritual support, including some hymns✨

We love seeing our homes full of activity, choice, and opportunities that support wellbeing, independence, and personal interests.🙂

Well done to our amazing service users and staff for another positive week! 👏🏼
