As a group, we are doing the Moonlight and Memories Walk 2026 for St Catherine's Hospice in memory of our loved ones including our former GP Partner, Dr Eyre.

Please sponsor our walk to help fund this essential local service.

Many of us are aware of the great work that St Catherine's carries out daily and many of us hold the charity close to our hearts- for those unaware of St Catherine's vital work, please keep reading;

"St Catherine’s cares for patients and families across Chorley, Preston and South Ribble who are affected by life-shortening conditions like cancer, motor neurone disease and heart failure.

Our specialised care is here to help people enjoy the best possible quality of life, to the end of life. We work with patients and their loved ones at the hospice and in their own homes to help them achieve what is important to them in the time they have.

Help Park Medical Practice raise money to support St Catherine's Hospice Preston

Due to recent changes in the NHS GP contract and increasing demand for appointments, our practice will be moving to a ‘Triage’ appointment system from Monday 1st June. This change is being introduced to improve access to care, manage demand safely, and make the best use of our clinical resources.

From 1st June, patients with routine requests will complete a form, either via our website or the NHS app. This will then be passed to the triage team, who will direct your issue to the most appropriate service. This could be an appointment with a clinician, a telephone consultation, clinical advice, a prescription or being sign-posted to another service. This helps us ensure patients receive the right care, from the right clinician, at the right time.

Our team will be available to support anyone who may need help accessing the new system and for anyone without access to the internet, Reception can complete the triage form on your behalf.

Patients can continue to contact the practice in the usual ways by the NHS App/online, telephone, or in person.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this transition as we continue working to provide safe and effective care for all our patients.

📢 Surgery Closure Notice
Please note that the surgery will be closed on Tuesday 12th May 2026 for staff training and education from 1pm.
If you require urgent medical assistance during this time, please contact NHS 111 for advice.
The surgery will reopen on Wednesday at 8:00am as normal.

Sunday 3rd May – Telephone lines available 9am - 12pm
Monday 4th May - Telephone lines open 9am-11am
Urgent appointments are available over the weekend – please call the surgery.

Call 111 for urgent advice or Call 999 in an emergency

As a reminder, the next bank holiday falls on Monday 4th May.

It takes up to 48 hours for us to action your prescription request and send to your nominated pharmacy. Please order in advance to prevent delay in receiving your prescription items. As a reminder, prescriptions can be ordered via the NHS app.
