‼️IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR ALL PATIENTS‼️

Following on from yesterday our computer systems continue to be offline. This is a major incident over other sites as well. We have been informed by our IT company that they are working to resolve the issue, however, we have not been offered any time scales for this to happen.

We cannot access any patient information, book appointments, process prescriptions or answer patient queries.

If you have a pre booked appointment booked for today please attend the surgery at your appointment time and the reception team will assist you.

For URGENT medical care today please contact 111 and avoid attending the surgery, if possible.

As you can appreciate this is a difficult time for everyone, please be understanding and kind to staff as they will be working hard to provide care during this computer outage.

The surgery will post any updates on here when they have them- please share this information with family and friends who may not have Facebook

We would like to reintroduce Sean our in-house physiotherapist to you all!

Sean has over 27 years’ experience in treating elite athletes in both football and rugby. He joined our practice in October of 2021 so some of you may have already seen and been treated by him. We would like to do a reintroduction as you may be offered an initial appointment with Sean for any acute injuries by one of the reception team.

Sean can diagnose and treat MSK conditions such as:

- Sports injury management / advice
- Neck pain
- Shoulder pain
- Back pain
- Referrals via the GP for x-rays, ultrasounds and injections
- Strength exercises post injury

There are physiotherapy appointment available on Thursdays all day and Friday mornings at the surgery. If you feel that this service would be of benefit to you please call the surgery on 01772 501710 to arrange an appointment.

🌿 Longridge Parkinson’s Support Meeting 🌿

There is an upcoming Parkinson’s support meeting at Longridge Library.

Our social prescriber – Christopher Jones - has linked in with Parkinson’s UK - Sue Wallace, and Longridge Library to explore developing a local support group for people affected by Parkinson’s. Currently, the nearest groups are based in Preston or Clitheroe, so we are keen to create something more accessible within the community.

💬 This will be a decision-making meeting, giving people the opportunity to shape future sessions.
