Come along today, Thursday 29 October, 3-4pm, at the Health Innovation Campus, Lancaster University, for a screening of A Basket Full of Eggs, exploring the contributions of Romani communities to England's folk music traditions.

The event will be followed by a presentation and Q&A with Professor Hazel Marsh and is the first event in the new Voices with Impact series from the Mental Health Research Group (MHRG).

Today, 1 September, marks the start of World Alzheimer's Month. During September, we'll be sharing the stories of people taking part in dementia research and clinical trials, highlighting how research is helping to improve lives and drive progress in the fight against dementia. Stay tuned to learn more about the people behind the research and why their involvement matters.

🧠💜 Today marks the beginning of World Alzheimer’s Month - a time to raise awareness of Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, challenge misconceptions and highlight the vital role research plays in changing lives.

But awareness is just the beginning. You can help make a difference by taking part in dementia research.

Through Join Dementia Research, you can register your interest and be matched with research studies looking at better ways to understand, diagnose, treat and prevent dementia.

Emma's struggle with food began in childhood.

Her journey with an eating disorder has been long and challenging, but it has also been filled with moments of hope and resilience.

When Emma's therapist told her about the EDGI study, she felt a spark of hope. ✨

The study is the UK's largest ever research project into eating disorders. It aims to understand the role that genetics and the environment play in the development of these illnesses.

EDGI UK is one of the many studies you can be part of through Be Part of Research.

🧠 Study spotlight: ADAGIO-2

We’re supporting the ADAGIO-2 study, exploring new treatments to help manage agitation in people with Alzheimer’s disease.

Agitation can be one of the most challenging symptoms for people living with dementia and their families. This study is testing whether new medications can help reduce distress and improve day-to-day wellbeing.

By focusing on symptoms that matter most to patients and carers, this research could help improve quality of life and support better care.
