An ADHD assessment should give you more than a yes or no answer.
The NHS estimates that around 2,498,000 people in England have ADHD, including people without a diagnosis. Of these, around 741,000 are children and young people aged 5 to 24.
In December 2025, there were up to 735,157 open referrals that may have been for an ADHD assessment in England.
Behind those numbers are people who may have spent months or years wondering, searching and trying to make sense of things.
