Could YOU have insulin resistance without knowing?
Following on from my last couple of posts about insulin resistance…
One obvious question is:
“How would I actually know if I have it?”
The tricky thing is, insulin resistance can develop gradually, and you may not notice anything obvious for years.
There are, however, some clues worth paying attention to.

Do any of these sound familiar?
👉 More fat around your middle than you’d like
👉 Feeling tired or sleepy after meals
👉 High blood pressure
👉 High triglycerides
👉 Skin tags or darker patches of skin
👉 Type 2 diabetes or insulin resistance in your family
For women, PCOS or having had gestational diabetes can also be important clues.
For men, low testosterone or erectile problems can sometimes be associated with it too.
Now, this is important:
Having one or more of these does NOT mean you definitely have insulin resistance.
They’re clues, not a diagnosis.
But if several sound familiar, it might be a good reason to pay a little more attention to your metabolic health.
And that’s the positive part.
There are plenty of things you CAN influence:
👉 Your activity
👉 Your eating habits
👉 Your muscle
👉 Your body composition
👉 How often you’re moving
You don’t need to change everything overnight.
You just need to start moving in the right direction.
So if you’ve been thinking…
“I really need to get myself back on track before Christmas…”
This could be the push you need.
