I almost didn’t post this result because it looks almost too good to be real.

But it is.

She came to me with one very important deadline: her daughter’s wedding, less than three months away.

“I don’t want to look like her nan,” she said.

I understood the assignment but I was very clear from the outset given the timeframe what could realistically be achieved - but I accepted the challenge.

The starting skin quality was poor, and this was never going to be about one treatment or a quick fix. The skin needed a carefully planned combination of restorative and regenerative management to improve tissue quality while stimulating collagen remodelling, tightening and repair.

I combined multiple treatments and adapted protocols as clinically necessary:

RF microneedling
SkinPen microneedling
Sunekos 1200 + Performa
Medical-grade skincare - NeoStrata, HydroPeptide and IMAGE Volulift

Each element had a purpose: creating controlled regenerative stimulation while providing the skin with the ingredients and environment it needed to rebuild.

It looked pretty good by the wedding, but we’re now four months on and it has continued to improve.

I am still a badass 😎

Being a badass in your 40s isn’t running on caffeine and three hours sleep - it’s protecting your nervous system, fuelling your body, prioritising recovery and knowing when to call it a day.

We talk a lot about goals, ambition and discipline — but discipline isn’t always about doing more.

Sometimes discipline is;
Going to bed.
Eating properly.
Resting when your body needs it.
Putting your phone down.
Saying no.
Choosing recovery instead of constantly pushing through.

We can neglect our basic needs for a surprisingly long time and convince ourselves that we’re being productive, resilient or “strong”.

Eventually, though, the body sends the invoice.

Poor sleep and inadequate recovery affect everything from mood, cognition and stress resilience to metabolic health, immune function, training recovery and how well we age.

So yes, I have big scary goals, and a lot of them - but I am increasingly focused on achieving them without sacrificing the body and brain I need to enjoy them.
